Edit - Fucking waste of time. Look up what it means to actual go from 864 to 5120 go on, multiple the number by 36 you absolute....  jesus... never seen such a daft post in my life.

or at least go and learn what "by a factor of" means, dear lord, on top of the Hypocrisy of posting a "well I'm going to cling to one part of a post" when I was replying to you after you whined that someone had done that to your "well the 3ds doesn't have any games like metal gear solid 3" waste of time.

Must take a note of this response though so as not to waste time in the future on here.

(also... the save difference is based on design yes, but it's based on a design for inferior limited hardware, that's like saying the draw distance in a console fps is smaller by design but not based on hardware .... as in it's wrong)

So, you seem a little bit angry and to be fair... kind of dumb when it comes to maths, so I will explain to you.

6 x 864 roughly equals to 5120. But, the world in Minecraft is square, because it's not a line world, right, you can go on the left, but also to the front. So, 5120x5120 = 36 x 864x864 (again, roughly). And don't think it's a crazy idea I just got, it's 100% failproof math, that how the "by a factor of" works for surfaces.

You would have a PC large scale minecraft world on a PC with exactly the inferior limited hardware the PS4 has, because it's a design difference. The PC has no design of such for saves, that is the difference here.

But don't think it's by accident or hypocrisy I'm answering this way. I'm teaching you why it's stupid to cut people posts and focus on a mistake, and I believe now you understand why. And you also understand maths better... So I gave you a lot there !

Wow, this thread. Have people who besmirch portables actually played one in the last 5 years?

I would go on a tangent about how the 3DS' library is unmatched in terms of meta-critic, how it arguably has the best exclusive games, and unarguably has the most exclusive games of the 8th gen, but I won't. That would be wasting my time.

This thread has proved that people have already decided with their minds... or they were told or something, that portables are inferior because they're "smaller; have less power". I see. Meanwhile we have PS4, with barely 10 blockbuster exclusive experiences, with many "on the way!" stuck in development hell. And I mention exclusive because I have a PS3 for The Last of Us and CoD and GTAV. You could argue that 3DS and Vita have a lot of ports and remakes as well, but I guarantee we could look up either of those libraries and they'd yawn at any other 8th gens library.

Where are all the people that want to play games - to play games - at? Why is this thread almost exclusively "we only like the pretty graphics on 60" TV's"? It's like Fall Out Boy fans got lost at a Queens of the Stone Age concert in here.

Home consoles are simply much better.

Don't ger me wrong i love my 3DS but i would gladly trade 5 great handheld exclusives for another great Wii U or PS4 exclusive.

Handhelds are great for low budget JRPGs and ports of old games tho.

One thing to keep in mind though is that it takes companies a whole lot less dev time to create great handheld games rather than making 1080p worlds for the HD platforms, I know it's a bit of an odd comment that we can get more games because there is less effort in them... but if it's something like a Jrpg as you said, does it really make a game 5 times better if the cutscenes are rendered in 1080p or if they are done using in game models on the Vita or 3ds but still manage to tell the same story?

I guess if each AAA title was something like Fallout 4 or The Witcher I could see where you're coming from, but when you get big titles ending up as things like The Order which have substituted out so much more of other areas of the game to have a beautiful looking... but rather hollow title. (but you did say great exclusive and I don't think anyone would rate the order as great lol)

As much as I love handheld gaming... WTF are you talking about? The 3DS' library is unmatched in terms of meta-critic?

  • The 3DS got 7 games with a metascore of 90+ within 4.5 years, the PS4 got 16 games with a metascore of 90+ in half of the time.
  • The 3DS got 33 games with a metascore of 85+ within 4.5 years, the PS4 got 65 games with a metascore of 85+ in half of the time.
  • The 3DS got 76 games with a metascore of 80+ within 4.5 years, the PS4 got 174 games with a metascore of 80+ in half of the time.

I have a Vita and KZ: Mercenary. This one is a bullshot, the game does not look that good. It looks a bit worse than Killzone 2 on PS3, an impressive achievement. But compare it to Killzone: Shadow Fall.

Have Mercenarys too and there are some areas of the game which are PS3 levels of quality for sure, no where near the PS4 in terms of particle effects though you are right there, the thing which destoryed the game for me was the loading times, have the game digitally so I don't know was it better if playing from the Vita card but just running off the memory card the game could take upwards of a minute to load the start of stages (sure there wasn't loading in stages but still... really bad for a handheld game to suffer so bad from loading)

I did feel bad putting up the screen shot of Whoa Dave from the PS4 against this though because that game seems like it was made on a budget of about €20 it was one of the few times I facepalmed at an indie offering from PSN+ this and the fire fighting game were easily two of the worst mobile phone style games on a console.
