So basically confirms that the NX won't be very powerful. but what level will it be? At Wii level? Or Wii U? It's a pity they can no longer push boundaries.
At least their portable idea is good.

It sounds real tbh, at least it makes sense and sounds pretty exciting.
Soimething I found on the IGN article:
"However, a separate - and perhaps less reliable source - tells Digital Foundry that the NX could actually use the upcoming Tegra X2 processor. The X2 is essentially an unknown quantity at this point, meaning there is a chance the NX could be more powerful than the current information suggests."
This is just a reminder for people that, for as much fun it is to especulate, it is still a rumor.Take all with a grain of salt.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

It's Eurogamer, can't get anymore legit. Must be the new Tegra right? And this thing is going to be expensive, i don't see this being successful.

Powerful enough to run the new Sonic game and the new Dragon Quest apparantly. So... at least close to current gen consoles.
But... power close to the new consoles in portable form means a higher price point. :x

That's not saying much though. Those who play games like CoD and Witcher would never touch a Nintendo console, so there would be no point in Nintendo trying to compete with Sony and MS.

About the Tegra X1 that is rumored here as the chip that the NX uses, It is rated at 512 Gigaflops. But they are Nvidia flops which apparently are more powerful than AMDs. The CPU is an 8-core 64bit
ARM cpu.

Looks pretty great, but I still think AMD will be delivering the chip and not NVIDIA
" (..) the company is already settling on a simple marketing message for NX - of being able to take your games with you on the go."
Well, at least that was still a novelty back in 1989.

That's quite a generalization, games like Zelda or Metroid can appeal to those people too.
