A hacker group brought the servers down for a couple of hours, they're planning on bringing it down again on August 1st for 24 hours... Because they have nothing better to do.

Please please, of all the things to do, do not refer to people who download LOIC as hackers, genuinely upsets me. All those script kiddies want is some attention so the best way to fight people like that is to ignore them as day to day users and not spread their schedule around as though it was of importance.

Well they've hacked several youtubers accounts too, and I'm sure Pokemon Go servers can withstand a couple of idiots downloading LOIC. Sure DDOS'ing requires no skill, but they at least have to have a fairly big infrastructure.

They need to have a large number of children who haven't checked the google result for "can using LOIC get me arrested" sad thing is when these groups get popular among idiots there is a lot of people who will offer up their bandwidth to the DDOS attack, it doesn't require a person having a big infrastructure, it simply requires one person to give the target address to a bunch of idiots who don't know what they're doing in reality. All you need to do is convince a child that he is "hacking" by using the tool and you have another gimp using their upload to take up server space of actual legit users.

As for youtuber accounts being "hacked" you know boogies was hacked by a guy ringing up his mobile provider and asking them to transfer his phone's ID onto the "hackers" without providing the proper information which should be required to do that, then all the person had to do was use Google's  authentication to send him a new password to his mobile... super hacking mode! or ya know... a derpy intern working at Comcast, there is very little actual hacking which goes on, just some phishing and social engineering, very little... code work of exploiting weakness's in systems, it's almost always a weakness in a human being...

Sadly most people think of Hacking and combating it like they've seen on TV in NCIS lol

This scene for me is just such a display of derp for the viewers, I mean... there is so very much wrong with it. Goes beyond any level of fake video gaming in movies or so.

This video is so much fail. Not that just 2 people randomly hitting keys on the keyboard, but even the one guy pulling one random plug and the whole system wents down. LOL

The writers should visit a server farm and inform about failovers.

Edit: I've never watched any CIS show ever, and I probably know why.

Is this the new modern MacGyver series?

I was expecting them to move the camera inside the image in 360° to look whose shadow it is.

So if I understand in the Pokemon Go world:

Profits = not for Nintendo
Faults = it's Nintendo

?
Wouldn't this be a problem for Niantic and Nintendo?

unfortunaly no, you hadnt understand it. Nintendo was the one company which got most attention and profit from pokemon go. See their stock raises.

Not sure what any of those things have to do with the actual topic, no pro controller support for Mario & Sonic is kind weird though, chat in Splatoon has been adressed to why they dont have it and Zelda games have been muted since forever.

And no, Nintendo is not the publisher of Pokemon Go.

Well I read on multiple news atricles that nintendo is the publisher but those arnt really reliable sources. Nintendo holds some parts of the Pokemon Company as well so it really doesnt matter in the end.

Zelda: That doesnt disproved anything, more likely prooves my arguments even more. Games like Final Fabtasy, Tomb Raider and co were all mute as well, but they got voice acting as the tehcnology evolves and made it possible. Just nintendo was to stingy to invest in something that expensive (full voice acting on an heavily story and conversation based game for 8+ languages can easily suprass the whole development costs of an game). Btw: Nintendo never made a game with really full and good (expensive) voice acting. All their games using at best very basic and small (cheap) voice acting and often just in japanese and english (to save money).

Basically, this his post just proves that this thread is just about bitching NIntendo.

uhm no. Thats called beeing objektive and those mentioned things all are facts.

Every company makes mistakes, speeking about them is not "bitching". I know this is hard to understand for fanboys though.

Lol that's amazing, ENHANCE IT!... the resolution isn't good... Yes it is! like for there to be that amount of ability to zoom in the original image would have to be recorded at around 10x 4k resolution, but of course it would be far less enjoyable tv if they just kept zooming in and then it showed her PC screen and it just looked like

Also from that NCIS scene... I mean he just plugged out that PC that they were both typing at, even though there was comments made about how the hacker was after hacking his way into the network and breaching all their security, just plugging out one PC while their is a hacker freely in the network and able to install backdoors on every other PC, Phone, Tablet, router, server.... on the network would definitely not be a time when you can stop and relax just because that PC is plugged out... the guy would be loading up every PC in the building to get ready to take it's files and send them out to him as soon as it was powered on again.

The game is bigger than anybody ever expected, with more countries being added all the time.

It's to be expected. Servers shit the bed on a lot of products, a lot of the time.
