Nintendo is stubborn if Sony/MS want their games they would have to pay a steep price for them IMO.

Nintendo has lots of leverage they can go work with Apple or Google or Facebook or Disney instead, they would be several suitors for Nintendo's games, not just Sony/MS.

They could also pit Sony and MS against each other in a bidding war.

Just buy the damn nintendo consoles if you want to play Nintendo games....cheap bastards.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

If you want to play Nintendo games, buy a Nintendo console.

Off-topic: I'm actually trying, but they need to release the damn NX! No way I'm buying a Wii U or 3DS right now when I can't know which one (maybe booth) are being replaced.

Simply put, it would depend on the games you like. You may want to hold off until the launch lineup is revealed, but if Smash isn't a title for release and you want to play Smash, Smash 4 is an amazing game with one of the best lineups in history. Plenty of reason to get a Wii U. Kart also has branched outside the Mario franchise, which was HUGE. Big Blue (I think the F-Zero track is called) is simply amazing.

The suggestion that success in one sector should mean the end of another, unrelated sector, is stupid. Nintendo should stop making hardware if they can't make money at it. But as a shareholder I want them to strive to succeed in all areas. Mobile dominance and a Wii- like console business? Yes please.

I see them trying out other games for mobile and depending on how they perform and depending on Pokemon Go's longevity, they'll proceed from there.

I don't think they should do it, unless they went the Sega route (3rd party better than nothing), which seems highly unlikely.

However, they should release more games on mobile. A 2D Mario like NSMB, maybe some Pikmin spin-off, etc. Some of their franchises could do well with a simplified control scheme. The extra attention they would get in the huge mobile market could drive sales of their consoles. You play Mario on your mobile, likes it and decides to buy a NX to play the new 3D Mario. And of course, the mobile games would also generate revenue so it's a no-brainer.

In an ideal world, every game would be on PC, that way we wouldn't be limited to the crap-tier power and frame-rates of all of the consoles. Still, the port-begging for Nintendo games is hilarious. Just buy the system. You are not a special snowflake who has suddenly thought of some great idea (e.g. Nintendo putting games on other systems). It is an old and pointless argument.

Not a bad idea. Maybe some simplified versions of famous series, like the mini-games in Nintendo Land. Nintendo could make money from the apps and I imagine a lot of iPhone users might pony up for the main event, so to speak, on NX.
