My favorite Uncharted game by far and the best game of this gen so far, at least for me.

I liked Uncharted 2 when it came out (replayed it a few times) and this kind of game was relatively fresh (being a 3rd person shooter platform position game, but with some light heartedness) but Uncharted 4 feels like a game not worth replaying.
I could tell based on the first 4 or 5 chapters I wouldn't want to replay the full game. If this was a longer game akin to an RPG with more plot twists and interesting narrative development maybe....but Uncharted 4's story isn't all that interesting. It never seems to even make an attempt to inspire or awe in its storytelling save for one moment in the story that was a lie. It has great presentation, and it has a good progression of mystery, but that's it for the narrative.
Lube Me Up
The scale of the game is something I'm taking issue with. You've got these (relatively) large, beautiful vistas that are completely empty. It seems like a complete waste of assets, as it could have been fun to sit back and explore, waste some bad guys via flying elbow, and make much better use of these areas. ROTR had the right idea, though there wasn't enough action in that game, either.
So MGSV all but abandoned storytelling, and action-packed TPS games like Uncharted and Tomb Raider have become 30 minutes of nothing followed by 5 minutes of action. Not a great move for either franchise, as great as Uncharted looks and plays.
I feel it set a new standard for gaming. And hopefully the rest of the industry steps up their game after seeing what's possible. Game of the gen
Solid 8/10 for me. Really great story and presentation. Gameplay is good too however I feel the Tomb Raider games do a better job in terms of combat and platforming/controls in general.
Played it through once on release and really enjoyed it. Got distracted by Blood and Wine and now Phantom Pain again. All I can think about is putting U4 back in my console but I want to get the platinum for Phantom Pain first. So close.
My favorite in the series. I find the 4th to be very enjoyable, and it looks great.

My opinion on it is the same as when it released. It's a very enjoyable game that's a solid Game of the Year contender. Sure, not as good as Uncharted 2 or The Last of Us, but it is a good game on its own.
*sorry to dredge up an old thread*
Started playing this again last night. After my first playthrough I would have it at about a 7 or 7.5 or something and it mostly got there due to how sexy it looked.
But I'm definitely appreciating it a lot more this playthrough. Going through on crushing and it's fun as hell, still looks sexy and I'm actually noticing that there's a story there (maybe because whilst it still looks awesome it's not distracting me this time).
I reckon by the end of this I'd be thinking 8 or 9.
I still think it was a great game - and a fitting end for Nathan Drake and crew. Can't wait for Last of Us 2.
