Overwatch standalone SKU NPD data:

Jun-16: 421.6K


As you can see, Overwatch is actually HIGHER than its release month in May where it sold like 350K (can't remember exact number).

Even when you look at standalone packaged goods of Overwatch which represents a mere fraction of its overall sell-through, you can see how word of mouth continues to have a tremendous impact on the product.

If you repost this on NeoGAF, please include what I said about Overwatch, not just the numbers. I want to get my commentary across there too, not just raw numbers.

I'm not sure what people see in Overwatch, especially on console. Played the beta for a week and felt like I'd seen everything the game had to offer. The game also launched incomplete with glitched trophies and the AI only working for six of the characters.

BTW, those OverWatch sales are console only right? Or does this include PC? I believe is only console since you said last month was around 350k?

Erm... not really. You predicted 250k on GAF, and it did 230k. Most people predicted around the 200-250k range for PS4. So seems about expectations, more or less. I don't understand why everything has to be hyperbole with you. 

Anyways, Xbox One is above expectations but has been getting fire sales and big discounts recently. I believe PS4 would benefit from a price cut pretty soon, it's effectively $100+ more expensive considering the constant deals XB1 has.

Really good month for XBO it seems, PS4 is pretty meh. Also I know nobody posted about it in a while but I'm also interested in Tokyo Mirage Sessions sales.

You'r right, my first impression was too strong. It basically sold just a bit less than i thought... I was probabily more shocked by how small the gap was this month between XBO and PS4.

 

Hell if was not for the XBO Slim XBO was most likely gonna win.
