Megaton. Tracking ahead of the ps3. Doing good in a tough market.

It is bad, but for doing horrible it is good I guess, yeah sorry does not make sense don't get the good vibe if you compare it.



PS3 had tough contenders with a Wii that sells like hot cupcakes and even a Xbox 360 that took some releases away and even had weeks selling more than PS3. Then their was also a strong DS and PSP that attracted gamers. This generation the Xbox one is doing horrible and people make fun of the WiiU but is still in front of the PS4 LTD sales...  and people expected that in no time the PS4 will beat WiiU's LTD sales.... Atleast the mobile market is doing great.

Lol the it's behind the Wii U argument. The Wii U released waaaaaaaay before it. Ps4 ain't passing it any sooner than it has. Fact is it's ahead of the ps3 and it will sell 8m absolute minimum this gen.

The Wii crowd was very casual and not representative of the hardcore market. Last gen a lot of gamers who bought the 360 would of also had a ps3. It's just this gen they are ps4 only.

Given the total population of Japan... its very depressing.

They really aren't very thrilled about home consoles anymore.

the gap there between 7th and 8th gen is stunning.  Yea you can see the pattern of sales going down every gen but this really takes it to another level.  What's really sad is the Wii U is going to grind to a halt this year, and xb1 sells nothing, so it's basically just PS4 to try to carry that chart and it's questionable if it can even match PS3.

Lots of old folks in Japan, they have an aging population ya know. them not having a lot of young peepz with time to sit down and play games might be a factor to consider.

Just wait until FF and DQ drop... oh lawdy lawd!~

PS4 is doing good in Japan. It's already tracking above PS3 and it's future lineup is more attractive than anything PS3 had. I am talking about DQ11, FF7R and Kingdom Hearts 3. Plus in the next 10 months there will probably be PS4 NEO, PS4Slim, PSVR, more price cuts, bundles and colors. I like how people are downplaying PS4 numbers in Japan when they are not even aware that the only big japanese exclusives PS4 got until now was Type-0 HD and Bloodborne. Yes, only 2 titles. All the other big titles had PS3 and PSVITA versions too. PS3 in it's early life had a better lineup (in terms of exclusives) than what PS4 had yet despite all this it managed to outsell it in the same timeframe.

So to all of you saying ''PS4 is doing terrible in Japan'' maybe you should look for some data and evidence before jumping in conclusions.
