They should allow you to transfer the Pokemon you caught to Pokemon Sun/Moon, or transfer your Pokmeon Sun/Moon Pokemon to the app like a Pokewalker type of thing.

I think logically they should make it possible to battle people from afar or whatever without having to be at the same gym HOWEVER your idea about transferring Pokemon from other games would ruin the APP. Half of the unique nature of the APP and the overall concept is the fact that you actually have to physically go outside and catch the Pokemon with your phone. transferring from other games would ruin that whole concept

I said a Pokewalker type of thing, not using it to actually battle other trainers.

Yes!!! Even people who don't like or really know pokemon are seeing this! Not just on the internet but in real life too! Nintendo has hit another gold mine!

Pocky Lover Boy!

It probably will. But they re going to have to invest a lot more money into the game, and fast, the game has the lot of technical problems and will need a lot of new features and regular updates.
Nintendo needs to not fucking it up

Well if by Wii you mean Wii sports (the most logical comparison) it could be greater. I'm sure Go didn't cost much to make at all, they don't have to take a loss on packaging it in free with bundles like they did with Wii sports, and they already have a massive market that can start it out for free. Honestly, I predict this game will have 100 million downloads in the next 5 years, if they continue to add new Pokemon and features. It is so much better than I expected it to be. Profit wise this game is going to make all other games they've made lately look like an utter joke.

Can we wait a few months at least to see if it's another Candy Crush type of craze?

I don't think a mobile game is a success for Nintendo. Their main business is hardware platforms, not videogames.

And Apple's main business was desktop computers once upon a time. Today it's probably the 4th or 5th largest part of their business. Market changes, things change.

If Nintendo starts becoming incredibly successful as a mobile app maker ... it will change the company, I don't have much doubt about that.

I sure hope Nintendo doesn't turn into yet another garbage mobile game developer... mobile is cancer. I don't get how casuals like primitive Atari-era games, microtransactions and pay-to-win.

The thing about mobile and Nintendo is that it caters to a lot of the casual experiences Nintendo likes to create on their handhelds.  I'm not saying Nintendo should abandon the hardware market but a lot of the types of games they like to make on handhelds are perfect for mobile while not being robust or intriguing enough to core gamers to sell as well as they should on Nintendo hardware in the current market (because the casuals fled to mobile).  Like, Rhythm Heaven is a pretty niche title on Nintendo hardware but I'm confident that it could sell gangbusters on mobile, same for a mobile Nintendogs title.  Hell, if I were Nintendo, a Nintendogs mobile-centric game would have been one of the first games I made for the platform.

What do you mean?

It was a jesting post in response to some of the articles coming out about it right now like the nonsense from Kotaku:

http://kotaku.com/pokemon-go-could-be-a-death-sentence-for-a-black-man-1783388743

:)

Good lord, what a shitty article.I mean, I knew Kotuka was a horrible news sites, but they allowing this to be published plummet them to a whole new level of shitiness.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Hopefully people don't get bored with it soon. That's what happened to me with Miitomo .

It's doing better than I expected, and looks like it's doing better than Niantic/Nintendo expected as well, with the server shortages, so it's a possibility
