If they decide to go third party, yes. Can't imagine what kind of crazy thing they could achieve with a powerful hardware.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Nintendo would probably sell more games.... but those people that buy a console and only get like 2 games, those wouldnt buy nintendo consoles anymore (I think theres actually alot of those for nintendo).

If they do a move like that, they might as well either just teamup with sony, or go 3rd party.

If you think Nintendo would make their games way more ambitious just because the hardware is more powerful, I think you are wrong, they don't like to make games that require 2000 people to be made and 10m copies sold to be profitable, that's just not their style and by taking a backseat on the tech department they can allow themself to keep making games the way they want without spending so much resources just to make them prettier at the cost of being way more risky as a product.

Better looking games?

They should go full third-party imo.

Why would they do that? lol.
For the record, the most attractive of the big 3 to buy a console from when you have a PC is Nintendo (for the most part). That's an entire market lost right there :P

Yes and no. Yes if they want lots of money. Making a Linux Distro or a Digital Store like Steam with Nintendo exclusives would solve the problem of tons of people who want to play Nintendo games, but don't want to buy Nintendo hardware. And no if they still believe in consoles, it would be a suicide for their hardware branch, keeping their games hostage is the only way to survive.

But releasing games on Xbox/Playstation? Never. They would lose freedom and would be forced to accept Sony's and Microsoft's policies. That would be an even bigger suicide. PC and Smart Devices is the future and only place where they can go if they give up on proprietary hardware.

No, just look at what people say about Microsoft now that they went for W10 release of all of their games...

Hey, I'd buy them! Of course their controllers would need to be usable on PC as well. Also, they'd need somethng like Steam Link, 'cause I'm not playīng Smash on a monitor, nor am I dragging my 40lb PC into the living room every time I want to play local mu,tiplayer.

We all know this is never going to happen, though.

Nope, otherwise no one would buy nintendo hardware.
