I definitely could see Nintendo using Zelda BotW engine and assets and make another darker Zelda game, similar like MM done with OoT. And Nintendo would definitely not need another 5-6 years of development, they could make project like that in 2.5-3 years.

Well I believe it was confirmed that this engine is planned to be reused in other games, that's pretty much the reason I made the connection. And even if it weren't confirmed, Nintendo has been reusing a LOT lately as far as assets go. Which is not a bad thing by any means, mind you - in my opinion the best Zelda game was entirely a rehash of assets (MM, obviously). So it's not even an "I can see it" sort of thing to me anymore, it's a matter of when.

Of Course, I just saying I see they will again "pull MM" with next Zelda like they done after OoT.

Oh okay, gotcha.  I wasn't sure from your previous post if you knew about the confirmation!

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

It's will be over 10 years since my latest 3D Zelda game (Twilight Princess) so I have big expectation Nintendo will make a good Zelda game during these 10 years. So I will remain hyped and hopeful Nintendo can make Zelda as amazing as they used to be.

This E3 actually dropped my hype for this, I can honestly say I'm not very impressed by it at all and I love Zelda games, wouldn't necessarily say I'm a huge fan like I was back in the SNES and N64 days, but seeing the initial gameplay showing before this years one and at the launch of the Wii U this was something that I would have bought a Wii U for.

Maybe I'll get it if I'm enticed to buy an NX, I probably have bought it had I already owned a Wii U, but the Wii U will be the only Nintendo home console I won't have owned.
I'll probably get a bunch of Wii U games if NX is backwards compatible or has Xbox One style emulation (certainly possible for anyone to do now that MS have shown it's possible within similar constraints of differing CPU architecture to last gen tech), so I wouldn't say I'd never buy it, but I don't see it as a system seller like I did last year.

Just doesn't look very entertaining too me and games like Witcher 3 have done open world gameplay in a much more accomplished way and since Horizon Zero Dawn has CD Projekt Red quest design guys working on it and so many other talented open world game developers I'm way more hyped for that, beyond belief tbh.
Zelda BOTW just looks too simplistic by comparison to the depth of gameplay on offer in Horizon.

In case certain people who have been very defensive over Zelda reply to me, trying to make out like I'm focusing on graphics, I'm not, my points are about gameplay, Horizon having a pretty outer coating has only a marginal amount to do with why I'm way more interested in it than Zelda.

I have to make this statement and I have to compare games like Zelda to things like Horizon, because they're fairly similar fundamentally, which inevitably gets me looking for similarities in up coming titles.
Horizon just seems to have a more believable and logical structure to it's gameplay and overall design, which I think is paramount in these kinds of experiences and I love that Guerrilla are doing development of this kind of game, the way it's being done.

The setting isn't generic, approach seems very fresh, while Zelda seems more dated by comparison, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's not hooking me in and I think it's perfectly fair to say that.
There's no need for people to get touchy when they don't have the same opinions on a thing, it's way more mature and balanced to just say that we have different opinions on these things and you like what you like and I like what I like.

I'm glad others are hyped for Zelda, the game they love the look and gameplay details of.
I think a lot of the defensiveness over this hobby comes from people have deeper insecurities elsewhere, so just love what you love and own that you're hyped for a game, but be fine that others don't really have to agree and certainly don't feel the need to hate on people that aren't thinking the same way as you.

If we all thought the same this world would be a pretty boring place IMO.

This is one of the best posts I've ever seen in my 8 years on VGChartz. *stands up and claps*

Personally, Im fairly excited for the game. Its biggest selling point is thats its systems (physics and puzzle) based, which is great. Everything else is just standard open world fare, nothing to write home about. Im not even sure if it'll have sidequests, and if it does Im not sure if theyll hold up to moodern titles i.e The Witcher. But ovreall this is a different kind of game and thats fine.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I'm hyped because this game has already demonstrated its greatness, and a lot of people have experienced it already. I don't think this is overhype at all. It would be better not be negative about something great.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Even if there are lots of open spaces with not much in them, I think there will be a fast travel system.

I know there might be a horse, shield surfing, but I can't see myself doing those things when I just want to get on with quests and side dungeons etc.

I can e this being more like Fallout and the Witcher compared to previous Zelda games but without the adult themes.

Also, this is Zelda. It is impossible for it not to get bored, people in masses not to get hyped and overall hyperness deflating. It's almost like questioning Gravity or life itself.

Nintendo would need to seriously fuck things up for people not to be hyped and so far I'm seeing more positive change than bad (the negative being if there are large empty walks with no fast travel).

They confirmed that you will be able to fast travel to the Towers, the Shrines, and major points of interest (we can assume Dungeons and Towns fit in this category).  And yes, you can ride horses, glide, and shield surf.  So you will have plenty of ways to get around the map.

What's funny is that people think the fans are overhyped about this Zelda when we've seen many, many hours of gameplay. But mainstream expects you to get excited over these yearly franchise games with cgi trailer reveals and no gameplay shown whatsoever!

People are extremely excited about this game because from the very first trailer ever shown with Link jumping off Epona's back to shooting an arrow at the Guardian, most of the Internet claimed that was a scripted event and wouldn't be possible in game. Fast forward to this e3 and everything Nintendo showed off is capable and more in BoTW! So that's what has me excited is the fact that the sheer amount of creativity in how you want to play this game is endless.

Overhype is the word to describe right now Breath of the Wild.

While I love how the game looks so far, some are going nuts about it. The Zelda franchise has a very wide range of approachs: from an open world like Zelda Nes, to a linear dense one like Skyward Sword.

Not everyone will be pleased with a single game.

Breath of the Wild has not been shown complete. We have not seen any NPC, towns or dungeons. What if you don't like the new implementation of those?

All I hope is people has a very open mind to see the game and not just overhype because "Zelda", and ends with a massive dissapointment.

PS: The game from the look of the trailer will have a lot of open landmass without a single thing to look for. Hopefully people understand since now that the game will noy be as dense as some expect.

I'm ready for it, and I'm ready to stop expecting the best Zelda or best game and just ask for a good Zelda game with its own identity.

If it's about the hype, then it is well deserved.  Let's face it, hype is going to be there not matter what game.  When Skyward Sword was coming out, hype was mellow yellow.  Zelda does not really get a free pass from people who aren't Zelda fans and so does any game.  What the biggest difference between SS hype and BOTW hype is that botw hype has surpass that by folds.  If we're going to treat hype like money, I would spend hype points on BOTW because it is pretty strong.  It won't last long anyways.  So, after E3, give BOTW all the credit for what hype it's garnered.  It'll die down.  You need to calm down.  You need to stop paying attention to the BOTW hype and let it die down.  Not even that serious.

@Pavlink

Sorry dude. As absolutely pissed/unhappy as I am about Nintendo pulling this bullshit with Wii U and the Wii U version of BotW, I'm still very excited for it, in spite of myself. Them delaying it again so they can treat it like an NX "launch title", IMO, is bullshit. At the very least, Wii U should still be getting it this holiday, with the NX version coming later.

BUT, even though that will never cease being incredibly lame, Wii U more or less being robbed of an awesome exclusive Zelda, and possibly it's best exclusive game period, BotW does look more or less amazing.

Anything can be overhyped, so maybe people should calm down. But at the same time, this game looks like the kind of Zelda I've been dreaming of for literally decades at this point, basically since OoT first came out. They FINALLY added manual jumping to a 3D Zelda. That one game mechanic alone will add a ton of layers and freshness to gameplay possibilities, from dungeon hazzards, to even more in depth combat, new kinds of puzzles, etc. Not to mention the ability to "climb most anything", is also pretty awesome. The "open world" part can be overblown, yes, but I think that was the right move, as the thing I've personally loved the most about any Zelda, but especially the 3D ones, was running around the "overworld" exploring. If THAT is the focus of this game, and not merely "overworld fetch quest > dungeon> fetch quest > dungeon > etc.", then that alone is also a major re-freshening of the franchise.

Is it going to be the "best" Zelda ever? Who knows. "Best" is entirely subjective in a lot of ways anyway. To me, the "best" Zelda will probably remain the original, or ALttP, or my personal favorite, Link's Awakening. But while I have maintained for many years that Twilight Princess is the best 3D Zelda yet made, I am perfectly willing to give this game the chance to blow me away, and take that title. We'll see how it ultimately turns out, but I'm willing to say, that considering we've allegedly only seen "1%" of that entire game map, and there will likely be a ridiculous amount of real estate and diversity in the land, from an ocean/bay, to snowpeaked mountains, to rolling hills and a sprawling dessert. That all sounds good to me, so far.

So yeah, people should always temper excitement. But I think this game looks/sounds worth getting excited about, for once.
