What's funny is that people think the fans are overhyped about this Zelda when we've seen many, many hours of gameplay. But mainstream expects you to get excited over these yearly franchise games with cgi trailer reveals and no gameplay shown whatsoever!
People are extremely excited about this game because from the very first trailer ever shown with Link jumping off Epona's back to shooting an arrow at the Guardian, most of the Internet claimed that was a scripted event and wouldn't be possible in game. Fast forward to this e3 and everything Nintendo showed off is capable and more in BoTW! So that's what has me excited is the fact that the sheer amount of creativity in how you want to play this game is endless.
