Nah uncharted 4 is better.  Game of the generation thus far.

I'm speculating and I believe I do so correctly.  You can see my point which is good.

You are correct however. Making ROTTR free in a few years before they release the next one will be smart.  Could win some people back over.  I'm not getting ROTTR as I feel no hype after playing U4 but I'll either get it next year on sale or wait a few years to get it free on ps plus.

I disagree, but that's why many games exist. Right?

Again, you can't point to a single IP that was ruined by some sort of exclusivity or timed exclusivity. RotTR will do fine on PS4, not even multiple mediocre titles have been able to kill Tomb Raider.

I said damaged not ruined.  And there are many an ip damaged by exclusivity.  Tomb raider currently one of them.

If you were arguing the potential audience for RotTR was impacted, I could agree.

The IP however has gone up and down, generally due to quality.

That's a lot of speculation. I'll just say there is no backlash from the average gamer and most of you that are bitter will still get RotTR eventually cause its awesome.

Between all four platforms RoTR is going to get a nice revenue and they got a nice payday from MS. So no point is discussing that with no exact info.

Also, ND games would generally have lower sales figures with mass bundling excluded. UC4 will be no exception.

It's not about backlash, its just that the game kinda fell off the radar, and the original release on XBox one was atrociously timed wich affected the sales a lot and quickly killed the buzz off the game. The brand was definetly damaged, this game was handled super poorly. If it end up not releasing on PS4 then the damage will be even worse.

Obviously thats what I'm saying.  The potential sales are damaged and they will have to work hard with the next one to get them back. Your suggestion of giving it away free to us in a few years is one thing they could do.

I got 2013 free with ps plus so I won't say no to getting the current one free either!

Well obviously potential sales are impacted but that happens with all exclusives. I made that argument for SFV since its staying on PS4. They pushed away their Xbox audience which was big. SE is having the best of both, a big payday from MS and Playstation fans will have it this holiday. So Tomb Raider fans arent being ignored on either console.

Lol no no no!  Their XB1 audience would have been small.  We've seen it with all the big franchises 360 vs ps3 does not equal x1 vs PS4. A huge number of 360 converts have switched to ps4. Thats why titles like far cry sold x3 better on ps4 but not last gen.

Tomb raider last gen was already ps3 biased so this gen would have been a slaughter.  They damaged the biggest part of their fanbase.  Whereas SFV damaged a small part of theirs.

SE dun goofed.

Capcom shot itself in the head with SFV's early release BS, it's not comparable to Tomb Raider in any way.

I'm saying the damage done to the ip from going partially exclusive.

Its funny, you paint a picture of doom for Tomb Raider, but you dont acknowledge SFV has done significantly worse.

Which gets back to a point I made before. Timed exclusivity isnt gonna hurt RotTR like mediocrity hurt SFV.

I was replying to both you and Puggsly and I'm with you on this one.

Everyone is shouting how fighting games are dead or PS users don't support SFV, imo only a fool would support an unfinished product marketed as an early release.

All I'm saying is that it's not a fair comparison, imagine if they only gave you RotTR multiplayer and promised that the single player campaign would come in 4-5 months then it would be a fair comparison, oh and both games would have to launch feb-may. Imagine this scenario, then compare.

It's not even about the quality of the content, it's the lack of content that murdered SFV sales.
