I dont get it...

You'd need to get two different boxes, each with exclusive version/content/characters, and if it wasn't enough you have to buy overpriced DLC to have a third (and canonical!) option, again with more exclusive content and characters.

Its a shitty thing sure, but its still all on the 3DS.

Well, most games are complete on their respective platforms, though. I'd argue that the scenario you proposed isn't as normal as one could think.

Tell that to those who don't want Nintendo to go 3rd party. If liking their games is your only reason then you shouldn't care whether they're 3rd party or not because the games will still be there...

Really the same could be said for the other two as well.

Xbox perhaps but without playstation the console's userbase will take an enormous hit, especially in Europe. Besides on what platform will games like FFXV and Dark Souls like games release.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

This new generation of gamers only care about the popularity of a product, not the quality. Damn i miss the 80s and 90s.

I'm sure the 80s and 90s cared more about the box art lol

Growing up I would want to play a game if the box art looked awesome because there really wasn't any internet/media to show the gameplay/trailer.  I couldn't afford buying gaming magazines all the time either.

But game magazines were usually in tye same stores the games were being sold at right? Why didn't you glance through one  before purchasing a game?

You know Final Fantasy did start on Nintendo consoles, and are currently on Xbox. If the PS wasn't around they'd just get the console it went to.

I remember the magazines didnt always show all the games at the store.  I had to make decisions by the box art and how it looked like at the back of the box lol  I must say those were good times blindly buying games without a single clue hehe

I know Final Fantasy games do release on xbox but like metal gear solid by far most copies are sold on Playstation consoles. Square Enix has pretty  much abandoned Nintendo home consoles for a long time and I doubt FFXV would sell much if it releases on NX. Perhaps it finds a new target area on PC, which wouldn't be a bad thing. Everything to PC would actually be a great thing.

Well no Wii U game that's for sure, but there were two Crystal Chronicle games for Wii.

Also, I think people would still get FF on console even if there were no Playstation, either for Xbone or NX.

Behind a $300 paywall and limited by inferior tech. I'm not advocating for them, but I see their point
