It's definitely between 1 and 2 for me. GOW for its originality, but the sequel improved on so much, so I'll go with 2.

All of them are amazing, RaD definitely did a great job at giving the GoW feel to the psp ones and Ghost if Sparta in particular had great development for Kratos. 3 is definitely of Epic itself with all the setpieces and amazing battles, but that would be a close 2nd to 2, which just seemed to me like the perfect balance of everything(like Infamous 2 in your other thread ^^) and just everything from start to finish was a rollercoaster for me. Ascension got a lot of hate, but is a great game, just the weakest of SSM's GoW

My order would be: GoW2>GoW3>GoWGoS>GoW1>GoWA>GoWCoO

3 was the climax of the original series and can't be topped by either 1,2, the PSP games or the prequel. Santa Monica knows that so they are reïnventing god of war in Norway.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

God of War 2 is the best. God of War 3 is the worst by far. I'll never say it enough: the bosses were incredibly uninspired and lame (except for Hercules and maybe Cronos).

Only played the trilogy. And would put them in this order:
2
1
3

Thought the second one had the greatest set pieces and art style. And some great new mechanics and the best boss fights (might be tied to 3 in this regard)
The first one was also amazing for it's story and inventiveness.
The third one is amazing as well, but kind of pushed everything to eleven. A little too violent and epic. But certainly some amazing puzzles, boss fights and set pieces. Disappointing graphics in my opinion. It looks fine, but doesn't really push the ps3

God of War 3 is one of if not the best looking PS3 game. It pushes PS3 to its absolute limits and even looks good as a PS4 game.

It does? I'm not an expert, I admit. Maybe it's technically impressive. But the graphics just didn't impress me the way the second game did, maybe it was the art style.

God of War 3 ending was left dead in the water so I would say God of War 2 because the ending was the perfect build up to God of War 3

I can understand that. Even as 3 is my favourite, 2 is the one that improved the most over its predecessor in gameplay mechanics, and the story was just brilliant, the pacing, script were absolutely off the charts and it was a perfect build up to 3. It was also the longest in the series, took me 18 hours to finish the first time. NG+ is also the best in the series.

Can't really agree with that.
Poseidon fight was amazing. Hades as well. Zeus fight was also good even not as much, the different ways you have to fight him were pretty cool.

If there is something GoW 3 isn't is uninspired and alme, that game is insane epic wheel that just don't stop spinning.

Look, I don't think they are THAT bad. Its just that you are facing damn Gods...  and Hades, Poseidon and Zeus felt just like some little oversized random monsters. And I know this is greek mythology, Gods are not meant to be almighty... But c'mon, they can do better than that! Did you really imagined that facing Poseidon and Hades would be like in the game? Posesión (for example) should have been fought in the damn ocean surrounded by a huge whirlpool on a thunderstorm while Kratos struggles to not sink by being on some boat remains.
