You know your console is in trouble when even Microsoft starts helping out...

But.... if you want to play Minecraft who doesn't already own it? And as every WiiU owner has multiple gaming systems why would you get the WiiU version?

It's essentially the 360/ps3 version, the World's are 3% the size of the ps4/xbo versions, the draw distance is 10 chunks same as 360/ps3 instead of 18 chunks on ps4/xbo and the loading times are barely faster than the 360 version also... And ofc the PC version is better then everything else...

Other then collection purposes or an excuse to use the WiiU I don't see a point.

While people love retail copies of games, it's worth pointing out that if you bought the PS3 version of Minecraft you were given a Vita copy when that was available for free... also you're able to upgrade from the digital version of ps3 minecraft to the ps4 version for a fraction of the full game cost (I think it was maybe €3 for the upgrade) but yeah, no doubt Minecraft will also find its way onto the NX so keep it in mind that if you go digital there is a chance you might get yourself a cheaper version of the NX game down the road.

Also @ the comments of "who hasn't played this who wants to" or "console is in trouble when it gets this game for help" Keep in mind that Minecraft is one of the highest selling games of the past 2 generations, was announced just back at the start of June that this game sells on average 53k copies per day (across all platforms)... like... that is better than the average games first week of sales, in a day.... from a game launched in 2011.
