Forums - Sony - Rumor of Why Red Dead Wasn't at E3

Up until yesterday it was planned to show RD at the end of Sony's show to close. The demo for Days Gone was going to be shown after the announcement trailer was played. Days Gone gameplay demo was moved to the end to replace the RD announcement. In the RD announcement trailer there is a scene of an outlaw shooting up innocent people at a popular brothel/saloon. Due to the recent Orlando massacre it was decided that it was inappropriate to show and there was no time to edit a new trailer

Ofc he did i doubt that he would say it was real when red dead redemption hasnt been confirmed

This topic has had multiple threads already since basically the day after Sony's conference. We don't really need another one.

This is at least the third thread I've seen on the same subject, yeah.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

here's some more fodder for the flame

Adam Boyes "disproving" it or not, it matches perfectly:

A. Sony's conference felt short, about 80 minutes long. A Red Dead 3 demo would have pushed it to about 90 minutes, a conference length that would have felt more natural.

B. It was really strange that Sony ended with Days Gone gameplay, a game they showed a trailer for earlier in the show, generally trailers and gameplay demos for a game go back to back.

C. Take-Two said they'd have a big presence at E3, yet the only thing they showed was a Mafia 3 trailer outside of the conferences.

D. There were numerous Red Dead 3 leaks leading up to E3; the in-game map, a screenshot, concept art; and Red Dead 3 was heavily rumored for an E3 reveal, even by reliable insiders.

To me that all adds up to this rumor being true. Rockstar has had a history of creating controversy, to the point where a certain US Senator has tried to get almost every single one of their games banned in the US. Maybe they didn't want to push their luck by announcing another violent game so soon after the Orlando shootings. If the game is announced in the next few weeks, we'll pretty much know that the announcement was delayed.

This.

The trailer would have been 10 minutes long?

And that would be why we didn't see any violent game at E3 ? :/
It's not like they were gonna promote another GTA, but a Far West game. And they DID show Mafia 3, a very violent game.

So sorry, but that doesn't really all add up as well as you say

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.
