Ok, yet another thread about a PS3 game invaded with talk of the Wii... The joys!

Okay, I get it. The right of free will and talk is forbidden in PS3 games threads. And Nintendo is the devil itself.

I don't get why IGN thought Lost Odyssey was excellent but marked it down for doing nothing original, but a comprehensive demo thats a graphically enhanced clone of it's predecessors, gets through fine............

9.5 in graphics and Polyphony has a year to improve them even more.

IGN's main gripe is that there's only 6 tracks. maybe if there was one or two more.

 there was way more changed then graphics.  Polyphony re-made the entire physics engine so the cars handle even more realistic then GT's cars do. 

And if you go by your attitude, Forza 2 and soon Forza 3 will be nothing more then graphical enhanced clones of the original Forza.

Lost Odyssey is a Xbox360 title. Gran Turismo is a PS3 title. Different people write reviews in each IGN section; you cannot compare between them. 

From my experience, the Wii and DS staff is way too harsh, especially Bozo. Can't say about the others, as these two are my main platforms.

Great ... I was expecting this . the overall review is lowered down by the value of the game ... not a big surprise :?

I called this over six months ago. If Polyphony doesn't do something about damage and the bump-and-slide tactics in the final release (and not some bullshit time penalty either), they will lose a sale to me and I will continue playing Forza 2 until 3 releases.

Shit, my buddies and I have been doing that trick to each other since GT1. Online, I can only imagine what kind of antics 12 year olds will pull to annoy everyone on the server. Give me the option to play in damage-only races or I won't buy the game. That way I can stay away from the juvenile clownshoes who just want to smash into each other with no repurcussions.

You think damage is going to stop anyone from acting retarded online then you are mistaken, damage will encourage more nonsense. Lets see what happens to your ferrari when my pick-up hits it full speed while i'm going in the other direction on the track, atleast i won't be in last place after that crash. Then you have the other 14 cars coming up on the crash, i don't think they can all avoid it.  Now i just wrecked the game for atleast half the players because there is damage.
