Forums - Gaming - IGN reviews GT5 Prologue

Personally I don't think a 10 is out of the question for graphics however there are a lot of things to take into account for a graphics score besides "Ultra-Realism". Galaxy scored so well in that department not just becasue it was on the Wii but also due to art direction, orchestration of special effects, imagination and immersive feel. "Real" graphics have a hard time in those areas and can sometimes feel clinical in my opinion.

As for this gettng a 7.0 in lastng appeal but "having more than many full-priced games" well I sure many full priced games get less than a 7.0.

I think that due to the fact to it doesn't have a damage model is enough for it to not get a 10 out of 10 in graphics.  But maybe that's just me.

What full racing game has less than 6 tracks?

I may get it if I can't hold out for the full version, but it won't be any time soon.

All reviewing sites and magazines dumped Wii Sports into the 70s because it was "too short", "shallow", "repetitive". And it's free with the console which should warrant a score of at least 90. The price can be accounted for in a review only in cases where the game is multiplatform and on version is cheaper than the others.

Wii sports is one of the worse games on the Wii. You can't just ignore the games lack of quality because it's free with the console. The game *is* shallow, short, and repetitive. All of that should be accounted for in the games score.

No flaming intended. Wii Sports is a great game to demonstrate what Wii can do, but I'd rather call it a tech demo instead of a game...

Zelda Wii and Resident Evil 4 are great examples of what the Wii can do. Wii sports is just a cash-in like Mario & Sonic.

My point is why low price is a plus for GT Prologue and justifies some of its shortcomings while in WiiSports never got accounted for?

Seems like a pretty fair review in my book :) If the prologue is scoring mid 8's. GT5 is going to be a beast >: )

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

good review, but then GT5 is only graphics?

No, GT5P is only graphics.

the full game GT5 will have not only top notch graphics but lasting appeal, wicked gameplay, over 1,000 cars (now including ferarri!!!!!!!!!!). and more.

Nice to hear that the cars sounds is back on track since GT 2.
I'm sure the full version will get 9.5 from IGN, its just gonna be huge.

Seeing as how it's free, you must be referring to it as a system seller, lol.

I have just played 3 hours on my mates copy of GT5 P. He got the Jap version because he couldnt wait. Do you wanna know what I think?
