So Microsoft is doing right by igniting a new gen early because they lost?
Microsoft is doing right by ditching current X1 owners in the event that VR takes off?
Microsoft is doing right by having launch dates for games we've seen at E3 the past 3 years?
Notice how none of that is about power. Sony has hardly ever used the power advantage to talk up their PR. Instead we saw Microsoft claim that the power of the cloud made Xbox 1000 times stronger. Instead they said that the advanced architecture of X1 made certain games possible only on X1. Instead they were the ones who dropped Kinect and freed up GPU and CPU resources. Sony never made this game about power, digital foundry and Microsoft did. Scorpio conceptually is nice but they're essentially placing it in a position to burn existing x1 users should VR take off, and THAT is what's wrong and THAT is the difference between Neo and Scorpio. Watch, when Scorpio comes out none of the games it plays will be native 4K at 30fps and you will be duped again.
And I've seen just as many if not more anti Sony e3 threads as I have anti Microsoft threads this past week. Specifically talking about release dates on games, well what did you expect when we were largely shown unannounced games? I don't personally want to be involved in the fallout from this years conference, but as I lurk on vgchartz I can't help but notice certain narratives that are completely bogus.
