Exactly, Nintendo don't need to concern themselves with some peoples small issues, and should really concern themselves with the huge glaring faults. No software and no marketing were Nintendo's huge mistakes.

I can say many things but i'm fraid of losing my temper as a result to get  banned...

Tablet controller which adds 100$ dollars to the wii u price is a  small issue? hahahaah!

P.s Why microsoft dropped kinect...You remember? When xbox one was selling like the wii u, despite its strong third party support...

It is a small issue. Do you think a console that literally would have been only marginally better than the PS3 with nothing else to offer would have sold any better with no software and the crappy advertising it had? Hahahahahah!

Yeah, it could have outsold gc and earned the sufficient profits of it! Nintendo due to the tablet  lost money for 1 year and a half ( even if the losses were bearable, they had never lost money anytime before )...Hence, regardless the sales, wii u could be profitable from the beginning and bigger money maker without the gamepad!

Wii u could be stronger than ps4 a but thanks to the tablet it would cost 500$+! Would people  buy it because of the robust specs? hahaha Then just remember ps3's  low sales in its first years because of the excessive price ( plus,  the huge money bleeding for sony after the essential  price drops-selling at a big loss, due to some specific expensive components! )

Excuse me, but you can't seriously say that the existence of the costly tablet is a small issue! However, lets say that wii u overly high price isn't its big problem, the  100$ of the gamepad could be spend to make wii u more powerful! As for the fact that is marginally better than a ps3, that was just to get decent third party support ( as Iwata had admitted, so they could have make it weaker ), while it didn't, maybe gamepad has to do something with that? Eh?

And there's always  the paradigm of xboxne+ kinect!  Xbox one, in spite of  being strong and having third party support, was selling  like the wii u ( or even lower than it, when mario kart 8 was released and increased wii u sales), when it was exclusively  bundled with kinect.

Microsoft was intelligent and made the felicitous move of dropping it early , automatically xbox one price fell by 100$ and sales skyrocketed! What can you say about that?

When you have such problems ( those that you mentioned ) you can at least offer your product at an affordable price,  ( Nintendo couldn't, owing to the tablet ), to make the things less bad, combining these issues with the product being overpriced/expensive ( especially, when your're home consoles are deemed as the second choice ) is disastrous !

So, Ubisoft isnt the only one expressing interest in NX:

Rockstar Games and 2K Games parent company Take-Two is “very interested” in NX. So says Strauss Zelnick, the company’s CEO.

While talking about the new system in an interview with TheStreet, Zelnick shared the following:

"It could be very exciting. You never want to count Nintendo out. They go quiet for a while and then they come to market and do something really exciting. We are very interested and watching closely the development of what Nintendo plans to do next."

In general I think its to early to jump to conclusions from simple statements like that. But it does fill me with a certain confidence that Nintendo could still regain third party support as long as NX has the nessecary strength and a decent architecture.

Your thoughts?

The new guy.

Sorry for possible mistakes, not a native speaker!

Just give me a decent spec and normal controller. And cheap price. Will get NX for select exclusives.

this ^

Then they'd be limmiting their market to hardcore fans who are willing to buy a secondary console for a few exclusives.

May be what some people want, but it'd be financial suicide for Nintendo.

It's kind of a wonder that Nintendo is even paying that much still for the piece of junk the Wii U Game Pad is.

You can buy an Amazon Kindle tablet that has a larger display with higher resolution screen, it's own RAM, it's CPU/GPU, which can run apps, it's own flash storage for $69.99 retail today, lol.

The manufacturing costs is the biggest reason why I think there will be no 2nd screen on the default NX gamepad since the Wii U showed that whatever positive things the extra screen gave could not justify its steep price tag.  Hell, it was so much of a failure that it essentially shamed Miyamoto into having no say in any hardware decisions.

And speaking of the Wii, I still like the wiimote -- I just don't like how Nintendo tried to implement it.  I think it works as a fantastic hybrid of a mouse/gamepad but Nintendo kept on insisting on implementing the waggle aspect of it in everything regardless of whether or not the game needed it.

When the Wii U did get third party support, it sold like crap, didn't get DLC or special editions, ect and the third party jumped ship. No, being a little more powerful would have resulted in the same situation it is in now. People expecting 3rd parties on NX to somehow magically sell any better are in for a surprise.

And no, if you got a console you don't have games for, dropping the price isn't going to do crap. Look at the Vita.

Thanks captain obvious...

Nintendo is the family console marketing and ubisoft is just keeping their releases of Just Dance on it... nothing new.

Motion control can be a blast, but it must fell natural (I loved the Hajime no Ippo game for Wii and Fight Lights out for PS3), but it can't only be throw there for the heck of it.

That doesn't sound too good. Seems like they want to target the casuals which I guess is their only option at this point.

Would you have bought wii u if it hadn't the tablet controller, which also adds 80-100 dollars to the price?

It takes serious mental problems to think the gamepad adds anything close to 80 dollars to the price. It probably added $50-55 at launch and that's it.
