It's kind of a wonder that Nintendo is even paying that much still for the piece of junk the Wii U Game Pad is.

You can buy an Amazon Kindle tablet that has a larger display with higher resolution screen, it's own RAM, it's CPU/GPU, which can run apps, it's own flash storage for $69.99 retail today, lol.

The manufacturing costs is the biggest reason why I think there will be no 2nd screen on the default NX gamepad since the Wii U showed that whatever positive things the extra screen gave could not justify its steep price tag.  Hell, it was so much of a failure that it essentially shamed Miyamoto into having no say in any hardware decisions.

And speaking of the Wii, I still like the wiimote -- I just don't like how Nintendo tried to implement it.  I think it works as a fantastic hybrid of a mouse/gamepad but Nintendo kept on insisting on implementing the waggle aspect of it in everything regardless of whether or not the game needed it.

Motion control can be a blast, but it must fell natural (I loved the Hajime no Ippo game for Wii and Fight Lights out for PS3), but it can't only be throw there for the heck of it.
