Spoiler alert

Ganon cutscene taking Hyrule Castle is hinted at the trailer but it is showed in the E3 floor demo. Didn't watch it, I spoiled too much of the game.

Weird! "Spoilers" below:

From what I've seen, I thought Link slept for a long time and woke up in a distant future where the kingdom is already in ruins and evil/wilderness reign. I mean, there is not even a big civilization... I know we haven't seen much, so that opens a theory: what if we can travel back and forth in time from a cetain point in the game and we'll only experience the towns/villages in the past? And now in the future they are in ruins, like what we've seen. Maybe that's why they didn't want to show them... to don't spoil the plot. Makes perfect sense to me, what says you?

That would also explain Ganon taking over the Hyrule Castle... cause it was set in the past. :o

I've read this before but until your post I can understand. It will make perfect sense with the spoiler-y nature of the towns. Mhhhhmmm. Intriguing.

Just watching all of the footage on BoTW has me not only excited to pick up TPHD just for the Wolf Links amiibo experience. But I also want to pick this up as soon as the NX launches, because this game is epic! Talk about raising the bar for Zelda overall...

What I liked:
Openness
Lack of Tutorial
Small touches like Wind blowing Link's hair and clothes
Lighting
Slow Motion
This fapness:
Art style
Physics
Not much handholding
Gotta find stuff out for yourself (like the story)
Tons of weapons and shields
Shield Surfing
Lots of other stuff

What I didn't like:
Cheesy Voice Acting
Stamina Meter: Specially in an open world game where you would want to hall ass as fast as possible most of the time imo...
Minimal BGM: Playing games like XC and etc where there are tons of places to explore shows how BGM can enhance the experience, Zelda really should have had a nice amount of BGM with an option to turn it off if it starts to get too repetitive... Not remove them completely... Or in Zelda's case, have minimal amount of them...

what is BGM?

Yeah, and that would be awesome if it ends up being the case!

By the way, a random thought: I don't know if you remember, but after Skyward's release, Aonuma said in an interview that his favorite moment in the game was the part in Lanayru where you could interactively toy with time. So maybe they're just expanding on this... like they're expading on the SS's Sailcloth or Wind Waker's system where you can steal enemies' weapons, etc.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

OMG this makes sense and it sounds awesome.

Also I'm surprised Pavolink hasn't made a thread about Aonuma probably lying when he says there'll be no differences between Wii U and NX versions.

I think the one thing that impressed me the most is how well they made good on their promises to shake up the Zelda formula. It really does feel fresh and novel while still feeling like Zelda.

As great as games like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword were, they did feel very structurally familiar, but with this, it feels like all bets are off and anything could happen, which is an exciting feeling that I haven't really felt towards a Zelda title since Ocarina.

Normally I go into a Zelda game knowing what I'm getting, but this feels like an exhilerating leap into the unknown.

Sure, nothing it's doing is a world first by any means, but it drives the series forward in an interesting new direction while reinterpreting tropes from other genres in a very charmingly "Zelda" fashion.

I basically like everything except:

- Mediocre-bad VA
- Barely any BGM D:
- Takes a long time to climb
- Stamina runs out reallly fast
- Costs a lot :p

A close-up of what I presume is the cursed Hyrule Castle.

About this...

Spoiler alert

The castle seems to be surrounded by 4 pillars, which will fit with the 4 main dungeons rumor. In the end, the ~100 mini-dungeon (shrines) part was right.

Interesting, this go in line with what we just discussed.

Maybe Ganon takes over the Castle in the past and rule Hyrule "forever". So our only hope is to "send" Link to the future to fix the past by traveling back to it when he has resources? Sounds confusing, but basically you do things in the future to be able to go back to the past and rewrite it. (preventing hyrule's downfall)

Just FYI, from what I've read on Twitter, there's more info than what we have seen (which is already a lot yet not enough). Aonuma has stated that there will be more voice work, Link will remain silent, there will be villages, and that we barely scratched the surface of the world of Zelda so far in the demos shown. I may have missed some things that were said from his latest E3 interviews but hopefully these things clear up some of the mysteries behind this game.

But if someone already mentioned this then.... :P
