Off screen hides imperfections, that's how things "look better".

You right , its it does not break immersion, every game should have a circle pointing out that you tired after running every 5 secs on top of the head right in the middle of the screen, you win brother. |
What if the game had an option to turn off the hud? I remember Skyward Sword having an option like that. Dark Souls games also have that option.

Who even cares right? We are talking about the Wii U here. A console that isn't even capable of creating a decent looking game.
I take it for what it is. It looks good in my eyes so it's fine by my standards. I do feel sorry for the people who get eye cancer at watching this game, they are missing out on a (probably) great game.

I don't care either, just worth pointing it out for those that don't know
we are judging graphics by off screen gameplay now? geez, we are hitting the bottom of the barrel arent we?

To be honest though while a lot of it looks great, other parts I hope they will still finetune in the coming months, as far as graphics are concerned.
There has for example been more than a couple occassions where rocks looked pretty bad. Blocky, or transitions between it and the ground or other rocks that are too "sharp" if you get my drift, or have a texture which is less optimal. This is especially noticable in the snowy area or high up on cliffs. Then there's the pine trees where lumps of needles fall off when the tree is chopped down clipping through everything and anything to disappear. It is strange that this is such a clumsy animation while on the other hand you have the great and realistic grass swaying in the wind.
Anyway, can't really judge much from off-screen footage, but I like the better colors instead of the slightly more washed impression the Treehouse stream implied. I like the higher contrast and saturation.

It's at least not a Gif to prove something about the graphics!

well high quality gifs are much better indicator then off screen gameplay.

But most Gifs in graphics threads are not high quality, probably exactly for that reason lol

That animation was weird, specially sticks out when making that trunk bridge with the pine tress... those branches just fell off. Seems like the branches also fall the same way with the other trees.
Also the palm trees in the trailer moved weird.
That's where I thought I saw frame dips.
Although it just seems like it's gusts of air.
