I liked it personally....can't wait to see more of it and where it goes but I like the new direction and the fact that they are keeping it God Of War at its core and expanding on it. I can't wait to play it!

I already left my two cents in the other thread, so I'll just say I'm glad so many people are excited about the new interpretation of the series.
And maybe if we're lucky, Sony will task a smaller studio with a hack-and-slash God of War game. Actually, that would be an awesome send-off for Vita, now that I think of it :D
Maybe Ready at Dawn could work on it?

I want to see the fights against things like that dragon and so on, that'll be great! |
Yeam man! Him fighting a Dragon and he can't win and just when all hope is lost then out of left field Dart and Rose come in and save him....I can dream right lol
But this looks really good and fresh for the series in my opinion!

It looked bad to me. The Kratos model sucked. The environment didn't feel God of War to me and the combat was really slow. I'm not gonna dismiss the game yet until they show more but yesterday's demo was pretty bad.
It is definitely the best direction they could have taken the series. Kratos is so different, he may even become likeable in this one. And the combat was great in all gow games, but it's nice to see them trying something. I'm 10x more excited for it than I thought I would be.
Having said that, I already miss hack and slash games that were pure hack and slash. I fully enjoyed games like Conan and Heavenly Sword and wish more developers would make similar games.

I didn't realize it was that bad. Did they have a messy divorce after The Order?

Lol do you know how much shit the The Order got? It put a huge fucking dent in Sonys "reputation" or whatever. It was a complete embarrassment for them.
And Ready at Dawn are not happy either. For the head of the studio, this game was like his baby, he thought of this game for years and it failed. The way he talked about this game, it meant a lot to him. But the thing is, Sony owns the game so he pretty much lost his "baby" because a sequel is definitely not happening.

Oh man, I had no idea :(
Such a shame. RAD did some really great work with GOW and Daxter. Imagine GOW on that beautiful OLED screen *drools*
