The consumer pays for it lol. You know, the one buying the game.

Sorry, but if it's sold to the costumer it's not shipped. I'm saying this.

I've just explained to you, publishers don't report shipped. They report sold. It's just that they don't care if it's sold to a retailer (to shops) or to a customer.

So it has "sold" 5 million in the sense that 5 million copies have been bought, some by retailers, which have then sold them to others, and some have been nought directly by customers digitally. This is why, in every financial report, the companies call the numbers sold, while we call them shipped.

5m shipped is still alot for 3months.
Pretty sure most game developers/publishers have wet dreams about goals like that.

Uncharted 4 did 2.7m+ WW sold-through numbers in 1 week...Uncharted is probably over 4m sold through its first month.

The saltiness is real.

Even when it comes from the horse's mouth. Its not impossible the game has also done well digitally as well, with recent trends out there that put your avg game's digital sales at 15-20% of the total sales. And Halo is not your avg property release- day one digital must have been huge.

Anyhow a 25% attach rate is no Mario, but it is quite impressive for a flagship exclusive. Sony can't claim that with any of their properties, that's for sure....which is why the saltiness is rich.

So, if the Number is shipped why don't change the Title of this thread ?.
