Forums - Gaming - Well I'm giving up the Uncharted series forever.

Sacrilege! How can you say such a thing.

I bet you didn't even like 'Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull either.'

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Wait what? its too hard to be enjoyable?..

Hmm. I avoid games that are too challenging, like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Never had a problem with Uncharted being too hard or not being able to aim or anything like that.

I like them, but I'm also done with the franchise. ND is not making anymore of them and the story is done. I don't need another chapter in the life of Nathan Drake and the gameplay is not good enough to carry a game imo.

Ratchet & Clank games are often criticized for being too easy on normal. Maybe you should give them a try!

I wonder how the op would feel about Demon Souls, Silver Surfer, Ninja Gaiden or something like this :D

Since when was uncharted difficult? lol
If you so happen to run out of ammo, which rarely happens... maybe pick up a different gun? Just a thought.

I feel sad that you paid for fun and then didn't get it, I truly do.

I have had no problems with the difficulty on Uncharted games, but I am afraid to say that I dropped the difficulty on Doom 2016 after 7 chapters of pure panic lol

I also tried to get into the Uncharted series by playing the first game and the sequel but I did not like them because I found the gameplay pretty boring. Set pieces and pretty graphics do nothing for me. Though I found the characters charismatic and the story was kinda interesting (especially in the second game). Regarding difficulty I did not find the games very difficult.

I have to concur.
In the first game I hated the amount of quick time events.
I got sick of the Ladders breaking in Uncharted 3, it was like almost every single damn one.

And I still hate the linearity of the entire franchise, it's a game that would probably benefit transitioning to an open world, the 1-note combat can get tedious.

Characters were amazing though, the voice work, the motion capture, the attention to detail on the models were always top notch, Uncharted series leads the gaming world in this area in my honest opinion even when compared against technically superior PC titles.

The story in the first game set-up a great premise it felt like Tomb Raider and Indianna Jones had a baby and that turned out to be Uncharted... And for some that's an exciting premise, but I am more into the whole Sci-Fi thing than Zombies created by an artifact in a temple somewhere, but that's personal/opinion and taste.

Uncharted 4 is for you then.  Open levels and many more that aren't linear at all.  Not as many broken Ladders and ***********spoiler********** no zombies either.
