| Gamemaster87 said: Obviously Wii U. Vita has been dead for years and Wii U already has Zelda and Yooka Laylee will probably also get a retail release. Nintendo has also promised more Wii U games even after the NX launch. I expect like 6 first party games, some Indie games and the anually Lego, Just Dance and Skylanders games. Should be a good year for Wii U owners! |
Vita has 25 NA retail games released/scheduled for 2016.
WiiU has 17 NA retail games released/scheduled for 2016.
That's before the NX comes out, so it seems pretty obvious that the Vita will have more retail games in 2017.
As for the WiiU getting 6 first party games in 2017...
I'd happily make a bet on the outcome of either.
Actually whoops... going by wikipedia for both...

Quitea few votes for Wii U now.
I think it more comes down to whether the rumours of Western Vita hardware discontinuation having already happened and if cards are still being produced that will decide it.
The reason official Dreamcast releases in Japan finally stopped in 2007 was because there were no more GDs left to press and Sega didn't want to make more.
Also when you strip out all the limited run games, the Vita list shrinks quite a bit. Add in that Wii U software sales in 2016 seem to be waaaaay ahead of Vita and I think it could well be Vita has more titles, but Wii U sales are a lot stronger overall.
I think Vita.
I mean, Vita... Jesus.
Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever
Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe
Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Yep I agree, WiiU will sell more software but Vita will have more physical releases, unless you're living in gamemaster's world.

Edit: for a second I thought you were referring to PS neo when you said PSV. I mistook the V for a numeral...feel like an idiot |
I thought so too when I got to the thread! Didn't think it was really even a question if that was the case :D

vita is getting more games right now, so i dont see why it would be any different next year with a new nintendo console coming out to replace the wii u
Obviously Vita, Japan and indie content is keeping that thing going.
Wii U content looks more appealing though.
