You would be shocked at what annoys people trying to collect games though when it comes to smaller library based systems, I wish the Gamecube had a port of Quake 3 from the PS2 or if "Urbz, Sims in the City" didn't have the damn "the" making it "The Urbz, Sims in the City" in the Pal regions so I would have something under Q and U alphabetically....

I know there is a UFC game, Ultimate Spiderman and Universal Theme Park Studios which fall under U... if anyone cared, but there is actually no GC game which has a Q start to the title! My Alphabetical wall will always miss that letter.

You... you file games that start with "The" under... T?! [commence spastic twitching]

RIGHT?? O_O

Best of luck from a fellow collector. I'm in the process of collecting the NA released Wii U games (I estimate around 150 exist so far based on a list I recently printed from Gamestop of all the preowned titles they had in their database. They can print this for you for free whenever you like and it is a handy / mostly accurate way to keep an inventory of your games ... more accurate than wikipedia at least).

The catch is that I am trying to go for a complete factory sealed / new collection which dramatically impacts the speed at which I can collect them (I don't want to spend thousands of dollars all at once to complete a collection; plus I like getting things for deals / on sale).

I have about 30 games so far though which is about 1/5th of the collection. I would also recommend getting protective cases, or, ideally, an enclosed storage shelf to protect your collection. Good luck!

The list has a comment side – some games are missing completely – where it says NO – and I am looking for some help to gather them cheap.

Plus I forgot to say that yes I want to buy all copies limited and normal and select sealed for collection but since 2015 I am always buying at launch an extra normal copy to open and play… for 80% of these games I have an extra normal opened copy that I am enjoying and playing!

Said so – my back log is so big that I don’t really have time to reply a game once finished!

for the 14 games which feature a "The" on the GC on my shelf a lot of them are movie titles such as The Hobbit, The Italian Job, The Incredibles or The Polar Express simply put those games  Wouldn't make sense to file under Hobbit, Italian Job or Incredibles for me it just wouldn't be where my brain would associate the games and considering I'm doing it literally on a letter by letter on the cover basis then it makes it easiest as possible to at a glance see if I own a game based on finding it in a shop here, just takes one look at the pic on my phone to know if I've got the title rather than thinking... Did I list this game under The Legend of Zelda or would I then go for The Legend of Zelda to not count the "The" but surely the game series is more popularly known as The Legend of Zelda so it would be under Z and that is before even getting into the fact of the individual games... Cos Surely it's called Windwaker! so W... or The Windwaker... so it's back under T again anyway.

Enjoy the twitching though at my lining up of games here! I'll be sure to put a pic up soon just to annoy you :D but yeah hope you get it from above, I'm not listing the games under a word in their titles which they're often called, I'm literally doing it Alphabetically for ease of aligning with a Worddoc.

WOW this collection is going to be worth so much money that it's not even funny. Keep them sealed.

When though? If you think about it the Wii-U's software isn't going to be rare for at least the next 10 years, at which point will Nintendo still be offering the ability to download the patch software required for them to run or will they roll out a Wii-U update towards the end of its life which removes this requirement, keep in mind that a Wii-U game must get a security patch update to align it to the System software in place on the console, if they don't like up the game isn't booting, without the PS4/X1/X360 option of declining the update and starting the game anyway.

Just that if that system is left in place on the Wii-U after Nintendo puts it to rest it will not be a system that has any retro following in the future, unless there is a retro group for Nintendo based Doorstops.

I don't think it would take long. Let's keep in mind that having every first party Wii U game, sealed for that matter. Would be worth a lot just a year or two down the road. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't sealed Dreamcast games worth a fair bit? There are some sealed Game Cube and Wii games that are already worth a fair bit. Same goes for some 360 and PS3 collectors editions. A Mass Effect collectors edition goes for a lot. I've seen some bided at around $1300 a few years back. Right now it seems to be lower, much lower. The first Mass Effect collectors edition was quite hard to find if I remember correctly.

There's 3 different limited editions for "The Last Story" on the Wii. The standard limited edition sealed is going for $100-150. The other limited edition is going for going for $175-300. The story book edition, which I have. Is going for $140-175 opened. I can't seem to find a price for a sealed copy, but I'd imagine it's the most expensive one.  It doesn't have the steel book, but it's by far the sexiest looking one with the packaging for the game being a book housing the goodies and not some regular box holding the steelbook game and the soundtrack and artbook.

The Metroid Prime Trilogy is a good $120 sealed :)
