Forums - Nintendo - Do you ever cheat at video games

no never.

I don't cheat but I will use a faq or online guide (ign do some good ones) if I'm stuck at a game for a long period of time and it just isn't fun to do it.

Well, I don't really consider walkthroughs to be cheating, so I'll say no. I use them as a last resort only though, or after beating the game once to be able to get 100%. One exception though. I used them in Kingdom hearts to rescue all the lost dalmatian puppies, but then I didn't finish the game once I had them all. I couldn't bear to think of missing some and have them be sealed in a dark treasure chest.

I will only cheat on a game if i am really really stuck for a long time on a spot, but then i wont use invincibility or anything i might just check on youtube how its done. Also when i complete certain games like Viewtiful Joe i watched some videos of it to get tactics for my replay but i wouldnt do that on the first play through.

The only other cheats i think that are worth using are ones that unlock extra game options 10 Stars in SF2 Turbo, things like that which add to the experience rather than make it easier in any way.

Currently cheating (watching vid's on youtube) on SSBB Target smash to get tips for better times ^^

yes but only the event pokemons like Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus in my pokemon pearl.

The only game I've ever cheated in is Pokemon, with the Missingno thing.

I would never do it in a multiplayer game--people who do should burn in hell. Of course, it is always fun when I still beat them

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Yep.  My philosophy:

1st playthrough:  No cheating.  No walkthrough unless I'm very very sure I will not replay the game.

2nd+ playthrough:  Gloves come off.  I do whatever I like/can as long as it's fun.
