The artstyle looks good to me...
The problem is for me..... everything looks outta place.

Society fell apart, things are broken down and rusted away.
Cool so this is like fallout? (was also thinking Horizon zero dawn, but like a cheap rip-off)

Then theres what looks like dinosaurs? and a brand new looking mech thingy (very technological advanced) that just jumps down on this huge ogre.

??

Whaaat?

Maybe it all fits togethers... but this just seems like bad story telling to me.

*edit:

I really hope they change the look of those dinosaurs... seems misplaced for this game.

Just make it look more monster, and less dinosaur, so it fits the story setting better.

Not much to go on with that footage, but Piranha Bytes has a good track record with action role-playing games. So color me interested.

Animations look stiff and the blend of sci-fi and fantasy looks weird. It's pre-alpha but still. I loved the Gothic series, and Risen was really good but 2 and 3 were not very good, the third one was actually pretty bad if I'm honest. For now, I'm not all that excited for this, it looks dated and somewhat bland, but the concept has potential if given time.

that game doesnt look like it deserves an own thread.

it looks so... generic... random... devoid of any own identity. at the end of the trailer i had to think of "too many cooks".

what i see is pyranyah bytes desperately clinging to the success of gothic and once more throwing out a reminder that a studio of that name once made a great game.

Hunting Season is done...

I think the teaser looks awesome but I will still wait to see more gameplay before I decide to buy it

^ this.

Its like it lacks direction. The random Dinosour looking monsters, the new high tech mech, the ogre.... its just to weird a mix.

A setting of a rundown world, with rusted cars and abandoned societies, yet theres that brand new looking mech without any explaination.

Its set in the far future (where mankinde had a setback technology wise), but we have dinsoures in the flesh, running around.

And for no reason at all, theres a ogre there too.

Without a explaintion (and I have trouble seeing what could explain it), it doesnt make sense to have all those elements together in one setting.

=

Its not believable.

I'm intrigued, but not impressed. It's clearly still early in development. Quite a mix between post-apocalyptic and fantasy aswell as technology there. Don't really know what to make of it.

From the Website:

SCIENCE-FANTASY

Advanced in technology, civilized and with a population of billions, Magalan was a planet looking to the future. Then the meteor hit.

Those who survived are now trapped in a battle to survive, a struggle to decide the fate of a planet. At the center of this fight is the element „Elex”. A precious, limited resource that arrived with the meteor, Elex can power machines, open the door to magic, or re-sculpt life into new, different forms.

But which of these choices should be the future of Magalan? Can technology, or magic save this world? Or will this new power destroy all those left alive amongst the ruins?

Makes sense to me. The website also has a bunch of info about the world and factions. So it seems to be the faction based gameplay with completely different approaches that Piranha Bytes is so great at.
