Lot's of good games. Plenty of backlog, even if we are at the end of the road.

Make sure to pick up "Bayonetta 2" and "W101" for sure. "Kart", "Smash", and "DK: Tropical Freeze" are nust-haves as well.

Don't forget "Splatoon", "Mario Maker", "Xenoblade X" and "3D World". Make up your own mind on "Star Fox" - I loved it!

It has several great games, but don't expect more than what has been announced.

Congrats! Despite its non-existant third party support and its short life it has a very decent number of great exclusives you will love for sure if you already like games like DK and MK as you say.

Splatoon is a complete must-have btw.

You aren't wrong, but I figured it had enough(10+) great games that are not available anywhere else and the price was really amazing, so it made sense.

The way I look at it is that I did not have to deal with the severe droughts the Wii U had and I get to play all these great exclusives at once :P

That's a good way to look at it!

Not quite. We should still be able to play together, though. I've played with Rolstopable before and  he's from Austria. I'm no geography guy but that's almost Australia, right?

Enjoy the best console for exclusives, imo, this gen! There's a lot of fun to be had. Just make sure you get Mario Kart 8. It's probably my favorite Wii U game, that is until Zelda arrives.

I pretty much bought the console mainly for Mario Kart 8. Not just for it, but that was the game that made me really want a Wii U.
