No one is denying that it's not a pretty game.
But what is being debated is if it's the best looking game of all time with all it's effects dialed up to 11? That answer would be a flat "no". - The low quality shadowing and some extremely bad textures are a testament to that, even the Physics fall a little short as to be expected.
The Playstation 4 due to it's limited hardware just cannot do the same higher quality effects being seen in PC games as of late, even with Uncharted 4's impressive visual flair it still falls short in some aspects, but that will likely be improved upon in future titles... And that isn't a bad thing, it's called "Constructive Criticism". - Yet some people are acting like people are attacking it, they aren't.

Holy shit and here i was thinking that playing thousands of hours playing pc games would make me a serious pc gamer, nah i need to play at 1080p ... What am i then ... a peasant pc gamer? Or maibe a wannabe pc gamer ? |
Even if you only a have 1080P panel... As a PC gamer you have access to a technology known as "Down Sampling" for all your games, you can thus run your games at a higher resolution (Like 4k) and downscale it to 1080P, there is some massive benefits in doing this visually.

Seriously though. Is there another game right now that does everything UC4 does? I highly doubt it. |
Nope. No other game has done what it's done especially in that genre. If you want to be a part of the gaming master race you need a ps4 and a pc. At least the ps4 part will be really really cheap for you.

star citizen is not as good looking. it looks as good as doom.

But that even stronger PC would leave PS4 even further behind. High end PCs exist, they don't get to be discounted because they cost more or because there's always a stronger rig.
Fact of the matter is that a substantial segment of the "PC Master Race" is used to gaming on specs above and beyond Uncharted 4's, so it's completely understandable if they are not as wowed by it as console gamers.
When it comes to sheer graphical power, PS4 vs PC simply isn't a fight PS4 can or ever will win.

Whether it's the best looking game of all time is a matter of personal preference. I think it well might be. Increasing the resolution won't change how good it looks. An analogy would be - what looks better a 480p picture of Gal Gadot or a 1080p picture of Madonna? I know I'd rather look at the 480p one. So, in that sense, to me, it is the best looking game of all time.
I'm sure it'll look better on better specs but it's only on the PS4 so it's a moot point.
Uncharted 4 looks and plays great (I'm now in chapter 11), but Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC looks even better in a lot of scenes IMHO:

Star Citizen is just as good looking and in many aspects easily surpasses it in many technical aspects. Do you even own a high-end PC at all?
Uncharted 4 also has aspects that beats Star Citizen. (I can actually give constructive criticism.)
Character Animations and general motion capture is far superior in Uncharted 4 compared to Star Citizen, lighting and particles are also impressive, again, Star Citizen has superior texturing, shadowing, resolution, filtering, anti-aliasing, framerate, scale, framebuffer effects, physics, you name it.
Please, if you try and debate with me, do provide more of an argument that is more than just saying "no".

It's not a matter of personal preference.
There are a multitude of effects in uncharted 4 that are strictly low quality that would typically not be seen in a PC game.
As for resolution... Resolution helps mitigate aliasing, be it texture, shader, edges of geometry... You name it. It also allows for the individual details to "pop" as there is simply more clarity.
It's like with Halo 3, it's original resolution was 1152×640 and on the Xbox One it is 1920x1080, allot of the smaller details in the game were far easier to notice thanks to the increased clarity that the higher resolution brought.
A 480P image stretched over a giant high-resolution screen is also not pretty, even if it is photo realistic, it's a blocky mess.

It's not all about the hardware. The software is important too ...
Some PC gamers don't quite get that. Looking purely at specs, resolution and framerates alone is a shortsighted way to measure "graphics" and that especially applies to the mentioned latter aspect ...
Any current PC game can't ever hope to match a ray traced one even if it's from a console because it's rendering technology far surpasses any of the given current PC games!
I mean no ill intent but it's rather ignorant to claim that consoles can't ever win in terms of graphical prowess ...
I'll say it once to everyone else in this thread and only once, "SOFTWARE IS IMPORTANT TOO WHEN IT COMES TO GRAPHICS"!
Yes, is completely mindblowing on the graphic department.
