But I heard it's much much awesome. So expect lots of sold copies... and more overpriced games!

I know, metacritic is the devil and whatnot, but still, you heard the game is awesome because the game is really good, but... really good with a premium game price tag and really the jump in and play game style is more like TF2, Hearthstone and League of Legends to me... all of which are F2P. Think that is why there are suggestions that if there was a single player campaign it would be clear why there is a full retail price to what could otherwise be mistaken for a F2P game.

I'm pretty sure the multiplayer content is robust enough to justify the price. Even if it isn't good enough for now I'm sure Blizzard will support the game with lots of updates and content in the future.

I'm not paying full price for this game either

I will gladly wait for a price cut, next month is Star Ocean month

You have bought Uncharted 4 right? Did that game last 250 hours for you? I don't see you complaining about it.

I really don't care if a game has 10 hours of content or 200 hours of content, quality matters most and these long games rely a lot on repetition and usually get boring midway or towards the end.

Short games which are 10-15 hours stay refreshing throughout, that's why I love them. Lengthy games are only worth playing if they have a captivating lore that can make up for the repetition and typically poor mechanics compared to more linear games.

Thing is. Friends and trophies are on PS4, unless the game is cross play which I doubt. The majority of players are gonna be on console.

Pretty sure most Blizzard games do better on PC.

StarCraft > StarCraft 64.
Diablo > Diablo PS1.
Diablo 3 > Diablo 3 all consoles combined.

Should be interesting to see the sales of this game.. Especially as this being a game that tends to do well with the MMO/MOBA PC crowd.

There is also no cross-platform play as Blizzard was concerned the "dirty mousers" might have an advantage, which... They aren't wrong, PC will require different balancing to consoles because of the mouse.

Well, this is the first time there's been a simultaneous launch correct?

Although, the lack of a non-Origins edition on consoles is a big mistake.

Why would you mistake it for a free to play game? Simply because it looks like TF2? That's simply outrageous. You can't just wish for every multiplayer game to be F2P.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Seconded. It runs on my old crappy laptop. For reference, my graphics card is the integrated (came with the laptop) Intel 4000 graphics card. The only thing I paid extra for is a mouse

Not sure about it outperforming on consoles. It's cheaper on pc, it has free online on pc, runs on almost any pc made in the last 7 years, and all my friends are on pc. All signs point at the game doing better on pc

Splatoon too had it's detractors for lack of content.

The Blizzard name must just be that powerful...

Has nothing to do with the Blizzard name. This is one of the most fun and fresh shooters we've seen in years. Just because this site can't see it doesn't mean that the whole rest of the world doesn't find it fun. In general, this site is filled with a bunch of loners (no offense) who enjoy playing singleplayer games (which is fine). That's why most multiplayer focused games get shat on by the users here.

As much as I hate saying this, you're right about this site. Way to often do I see a multiplayer game bashed for lack of single player content when in reality, most people only care about the multiplayer segment

What makes you think the overwhelming majority will be playing it on consoles?. All signs point towards PC with it being a part of Battle.net, the content given from it being connected to other Blizz games which aren't on consoles, not to mention it;s much cheaper on PC and doesn't require a super computer along with free online play which makes that version far more lucrative. Going by burst sales won't do all that much when you go with the long term numbers and of course once a gen ends, it ends but on PC it simply doesn't, take a look at TF2 for example, still well and truly alive along with COunterstrike on PC compared to the big userbase that was on last gen systems combined. Same with Planetside 1 which still runs to this day but noton consoles and the Planetside 2 userbase is far more active on PC.
