This is exactly the reason why I decided to leave my PS4 HDD at 500 Gigs and not upgrade to a bigger one. If I have 500 Gigs of games in my backlog, I need to play those games before I buy new ones. When I finish one I back up the game save and erase that sucker off of there so fast it would make your head spin.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

I only have money to buy one game at a time

I've gotten into bad habits of 'collecting' more games than I will ever play, telling myself it's in case I ever break my leg or become paraplegic or something so I'm already set. I've cooled off on it lately, but money being tighter may have something to do with it. Still have about a thousand games in my collection right now, though (most on Steam).

I have so many unfinished games but recently ive been splitting my time betwwen only 2 games at a time.

Hmm, that's really not that easy to answer for me. I'll typically juggle one rpg and several other games from different genres at a time. Trying to play multiple rpgs at a time is too much. Sometimes, I'll just play one game for months and other times, I'll play a bunch at once. My other hobbies play a big part in how many games I'm playing. If I'm in the middle of a good book or tv show/anime, I'll just stick to one game.

When I was younger I pretty much only got video games for my birthday and Christmas and pretty much never for the rest of the year so my backlog was pretty much non-existent back then. But ever since I got my first job, I just bought a ton of games whenever there was a sale on anything and my backlog got enormous. Right now I have a backlog of 79 games and I've been trying to slowly chip at it, while trying to not buy any games either unless it's something I've been greatly anticipating. At my max, my backlog was probably about 110 games or so, but it's slowly dying.

I am always buying games, I have a huge backlog but I always get through it eventually before creating a new one. I bought 6 games over the weekend for my PS4 alone. Im currently playing through Uncharted 4, Doom, Ratchet and Clank and Transformers Devestation. Each time I complete a game I replace it with a new one from the backlog, I always have at least 4 or 5 on the go to keep things fresh.

If there's a sale going on and I find a bunch of games I am interested in, I don't mind buying a bunch of 'em. Right now my backlog isn't that large, 4-5 games. But paying full price? 2 games a month tops.

After my first two Steam sales, I realized it was pointless to buy stuff just because it was cheap and interesting (like Dark Souls, which I still don't have a PC powerful enough to play it properly on :-|). I'd end up with more games than I'd ever play.

So now I stick to buying games I genuinely want and am excited for. I usually have two or three games I play, Rocket League being one of them ever since I bought it back in september. It's great for quick burts, and I can also have extended sessions. Other than that, I've generally had one or two games more suited for longer sessions on my PS4.

Don't have too much gaming time atm though (or for quite a while tbh).

It was 1 game at a time because for 4 whole years i only had a wii u. I bought a ps4 last month and now got 3 games i havent started. Im currently playing the last of us remastered. Its a really long game.
