It sucks that the Laguz are so lame in this game. They could have been really awesome. And they have a lot of interesting characters that would have been a lot of fun to battle with if they werent so retarded.

Honestly it wouldn't take much to make them usable.  Double their XP growth and at least double their transformation "time" and they'd be fine IMO.

Both great Ideas. I'd like them to grow tiers too like the Beorc. Like start as Cat---->Tiger---->Lion. I always thought that would be cool.

The problem there is that Laguz double their stats in transformation versus gaining really high normal stats so you'd just be spreading the few stat gains they actually get over more levels.  The way transformation works doesn't really add to a tier system IMO.

Now if you made the transformation bonus depend on the Tier... that would be cool.  1.5 for 1st Tier, 2 for 2nd, and maybe something extra special for 3rd Tier.  That might be interesting.

Wow, how am I only just noticing this extensive Fire Emblem thread. Where the hell have I been.

Well, welcome Kenology. Feel free to share your thoughts.

Just started the endgame with:

Ike
Micaiah
Sothe
Sanaki
Eni
Kurth

Rolf
Titania
Oscar
Gatrie
Mia
Soren
Tibarn
Boyd
Haar
Volke

Reyson

I spend about an hour on Skill and item assignment, but Haar was killed in the first turn. Damn his bad resistance to magic.

I took Jill instead of Haar to the endgame for that reason.  Her resistance was at least 7 points higher than Haar's despite Haar winning in most other categories.  I also gave her the best axe so she was pretty nasty.

So how many "parts" are there in this game, total? I'm just about to get to 4.

4 parts and the endgame.

So that's like a little over 40 chapters, right? PoR was like 30 chapters I think......that's a decent sized increase.

They're pretty close at least.

I was thinking something way more simple like doing away with those stupid Satori Signs and when they advance tiers they gain access to their new skills. Your idea of getting stat multipliers depending on tier sounds really cool though. Im sure with a little effort they could have easily added something like that in. Would have been great.
