Donkey Kong Country 2. Best in the franchise and best of the company.
No one has made a FPS better than GoldenEye or Perfect Dark in all the years since. It actually kind of depresses me a little bit.
I went with Perfect Dark because of all the extra multiplayer modes.

So many great games and poll results proves that, I would say Banjo Kazooie or 007, but DK was great too.
This was actually really hard and if you asked me another day I might give a different answer. DKC2 was great, loved the Banjos, loved DKR and while Perfect Dark is in many ways better I gave my vote to Goldeneye because it came first. Stunning single player adaption of an underutilized license and awesome multiplayer put it way ahead of everything else at the time.
Honorable mentions to all the DKC games, the Returns games (Not DK64) and Jet Force Gemini.
Perfect Dark, because it is absolutely amazing. I'm not even a huge FPS junkie, but I was completely floored by PD. Every FPS I've played after PD just feels lacking.
I see Diddy Kong Racing is falling behind in the voting. It deserves more love than that. It was a fantastic racing game, and with more vehicle types than you see in pretty much anything else. The planes were great. I loved how it was like an adventure game and racing game all rolled into one.
It was my favorite kart racer until Mario Kart Wii came out.

Goldeneye is justly regarded as the definitive example of what a licensed game should aspire to be. It also set the "gold" standard for console FPSes
But Perfect Dark just did such a good job of improving on everything that I have to give it to Joanna over James.
I don't recall having performance issues in PD compared with 007, but it's been a long time since I played them. Was it more of an issue when the game was played without a Memory Pak?
Multiplayer modes, yeah. My brother and I had a lot of fun with both games. He was even more fond of the remote mines than I was.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia. Thanks WordsofWisdom!
I was going to say Banjo Kazooi. I remember playing it and it felt magical, especially the first world with the teddy bears picnic music, but then I remember I was never able to beat it. That last boss proved to hard for me and my friends and in the end I never got to see the ending. If it weren't for that I would have chosen this as my best, but it has to go to Golden Eye. The number of times I completed the game and the amount of hours playing the MP, I don't think any other N64 game ate up the hours like that game did.
