Yeah, it's hard to give up the excitement of getting hyped for upcoming new releases, but that excitement brings a lot of negativity with it; the frustration of long waits and delays, toxic fanboy wars, horrid game droughts, corporate lies, etc. I've found I'm actually a lot happier and more stress-free now that I've let go of all that and stopped caring about new releases.

Yep, I guess you have a point. Now I find myself checking way less gaming sites, and just playing whatever retro game I can play. I think I'll try to go back into computer gaming again and see if it's just Nintendo or it's modern gaming in general. I want to find a place which I'm comfortable with, and right now I'm not comfortable in my position.

Why would i lose faith in gaming?

Im in a stage of my life where i can have the luxury of buying any game i want (thanks to God) and i have enjoyed the 8th gen very much because of this. Im not limited by any console, currently i have a PS4 and X1 and there are more games to play that i have time for, and thats a great thing.

This gen has been amazing for me, better than the last one for sure.

I can imagine that Wii U owners would feel hopelessness because of the looooong droughts of the console, but thats not gamings fault, just Nintendos.

Yep, we're terribly dissapointed, believe me XD. If you game with a 3DS/WiiU, the last 2/3 years were great imo. But this year? There's nothing of interest except Pokémon and Zelda, the next year! I'm not willing to wait 6 months to buy a game. They screwed up with me, and right now they don't have my attention. I'm changing my gaming focus into retro and different experiences. At least for a year. I'll wait and see if they make things right with the NX, but my expectations are low right now.

He gives me hope for the gaming market...

Not really. In fact I think this is one of the most exciting years for gaming ever.

But... you're a crow? Don't cats usually eat birds? :o

Said the person with an Ice type looking animal in his avatar and Rowlet in his sign...

The worst thing about gaming is the gaming community, full of parasites who make it a matter of life or death over what console or games they prefer, those who have an unhealthy addiction and build there lives around playing video games, arguing over a peace's of plastic, spouting venom in forums, on news articles and youtube videos that ruin it for the rest of us, im starting to stay away from news sites, guess thats the internet though.

One of the greatest games of all time has released this week, and a new Ratchet and Clank last month. Why on earth should I lose faith in gaming. Besides don't give to much attention to those who prefer complaining on vgchartz about gaming over gaming itself. Those guys (it's not like we have much girls anyway) are not a good representation of what gaming should be all about.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

No, it's still as exciting as it was at the beginning imo!

Because I sure as hell am.

Every day I've seen mostly bad news stories and stupid rumors about gaming in general. Makes me wonder why I even bother.

You must be joking. The resurgence of Japan and indie renaissance brings gaming closer to its glory days  than the last 10 years. Gaming hasn't ever been this exciting in the awful PS360Wii days.

Of course, if you're only a Nintendo and Xbox gamer, the last few weeks have been nothing but disappointing news with delays, studio closures etc, game cancelations, no Nintendo at E3 etc so it may seem that gaming is getting worse for you.

But as a multi platform owner and primarily on PS4, gaming is AWESOME.

I couldn't agree more. Half my collection is Nintendo games, but this NX bussiness has me worried. The XB1 is a good system, but it needs more exclusives. Meanwhile the PS4 is blowing up with Uncharted and Rachet Remake.

no, still hype for PSVR...

Not even close.
I'm extremely excited, actually.

I'd imagine it depends on which console you own.

The PS5 Exists.
