I lost faith in Sony and Microsoft years ago, and this past year I've finally lost faith in Nintendo as well.

Now I play retro games and reminisce about the days when gaming didn't suck harder than a horny vacuum cleaner.

Now that you say it, in the last month I've played FFX, Pokémon Yellow, Rayman 2, Jak I and Driver. I'm becoming a nostalgic gamer. That's not a good sign. I was excited about what the future could bring to the gaming world (mainly because of the NX) but I'm... just not sure about it anymore. I bought a new GPU for my computer just in case, but I don't really know what to do in the future.

No. I only play games for fun, they are still fun

As a ps4/ps3 owner I feel like I'm going through a golden age of gaming. Ratchet and uncharted recently blew me away, while the likes of bf4, r6, gta 5 and rocket league are providing me with awesome online experiences with my friends.

And there's so much coming in future for PlayStation. All the while I've been flying through my ps3 backlog playing even more awesome games, many which were free on ps plus.

I feel ya. I've spent more time this gen playing Wii, SNES, and Xbox 360 than my actual current gen system, and I haven't even touched Wii U since finishing Starfox. Been revisiting games like the original Donkey Kong Country trilogy, Metroid Prime, Yoshi's Island, F-Zero GX, etc.

The business side, sure. The artistic and technical sides, not at all.

I think so, I have a lot of VC games, maybe more than WiiU games. I must say I was really happy with the console for 2 years, but this year is just a bad nightmare. There's nothing exciting about it anymore. And, well, there's just Pokémon in the last 6 months of this year. It's the only game I'm excited which was announced with a release date after June. That's just sad. What am I supposed to do in the meantime? I really have to think what to do, I'm not willing to go through another drought like this.

So yeah, I guess.

This. The game that I enjoyed the most so far in 2016 is Earthbound... so not a good sign =P

I am losing faith in the communities. The consumers. (us). Not the actual games.

I don't blame you. It's simply unreasonable to expect your fans to stay with you while subjecting them to drought after drought after drought. I've gone retro and it's the best thing I've done gaming-wise in ages; tons of great games at cheap prices, no ridiculously drawn out waits for software to release.

Screw current gen, there's a practically endless backlog available to us through past systems and emulation; 40 years and 7 generations of great software just waiting to be played. Trust me, it's the way to go.

No, I just need zelda nx to be happy again
