The Groose is loose!

From her cool powers, to her endearing and likeable personality, to the way she's actually helpful rather than a hindrance during gameplay, to the incredible animation, AI, and voice acting that bring her to life, I have never cared about a video game character the way I did with Elizabeth. |
Same! Not only is she endearing and actually helpful without being a burden, she also is a true rounded and developing character. Which isn't overly common in games. Oh a lot of games will *tell* you a character developed - like how Xenoblade Chronicles likes to insist that everyone in the cast has grown and changed despite several (most notably Ryne) haven't changed a bit - but Elizabeth really, noticeably changes over time in a way that feels like a natural develoemt based on her circumstances and background.

Agreed. Her reactions to the events of the game also feel very genuine. For example, when she'a horrified the first time you kill a bunch of enemies in front of her. Few games ever make you face the fact that you're constantly killing people, and Elizabeth's sheltered innocence provides a non-desensitized perspective on the havoc you wreak as a player.
I like Deus Ex NPCs.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Always a surprise as to what his involvement in the story is. Aside from flying an airship that is...
