I doubt it. Lost Odyssey is far and beyond what can be done on the Wii. We all know 360 and PS3 are on a whole different level than the Wii.

/joking? /sarcasm?

The visuals and and atmosphere in Lost Odyssey are beyond what can be done on the Wii. I don't see why people in this thread are denying that, but I really don't care.

You care enough to post about it?
Anyway I agree with ookaze. Horror, shooters, first person view games benefit greatly from graphics. RPGS and epic aventure games mostly have got a gameplay element and a sense of style that makes them good. Realistic graphics rarely works well on rpgs.

" Lost Odyssey is far and beyond what can be done on the Wii" =/= "The visuals and and atmosphere in Lost Odyssey are beyond what can be done on the Wii "

I agree with the second, I strongly disagree with the first.

People deny it becaue it's wrong, as simple as that.

The visuals and atmosphere can be far better on Wii than Lost Odyssey.

That you can't realize that shows how clueless you are about technology or even human interface.

First, what makes you believe such nonsense ?

If it's purely technical, just try to remember than most SD movies (on DVD) are well beyond the visuals and atmosphere that are in Lost Odyssey, and the Wii can put SD quality movies in its RPG. Or perhaps you're stupid enough to believe that Lost Odyssey looks better (excuse me, has better visuals and atmosphere) than most movies on DVD?

The story is quite important to me as well which is one of the things that bugged me in ToS.

I especially didn't like Raine and Genis' whole Half-Elf bit though. They'd been pretending to be full Elves for years and were doing a great job at it until you hit a certain point in the game, then everyone and their pet dog can point out that they're not full-blooded Elves.

It was almost like the writers started off with a story premise and then suddenly changed up somewhere in the middle to making the whole thing about Human/Elven racism.

Seems like we didn't play the same ToS game. In the ToS game I played, no one except half-elves and elves could guess that Refill and Genius were Half-Elf. It even took taking blood sample for humans to detect they were half-elves.

So unless you point to me the part of ToS where "everyone and their pet dog could point out that they're not full blooded elves", I'll take it as your attention span is so poor that you mistake your deficiencies for deficiencies in the JRPG stories.

Same goes for Human/Elven racism. We definitely haven't played the same game. In my ToS, racism is towards half-elves on both Human and Elves side.

Oh of course we didn't play the same ToS game. I played a poorly conceived RPG while you must have played a masterpiece. In my ToS, the characters were named Raine and Genis but in yours they were apparently named Refill and Genius.

And you misread the bit about Human/Elven racism. I figured anyone who played the game would understand what I referring to without stupidly reading it too literally. I guess I was wrong.

Then again, considering the different names... maybe you really did play a different game.

ToS isn't the best RPG of all time but it is fun. It's no where a bad game. Who cares it's not a 100% score game?I know everyone has different tastes......... But I find some people too picky.

The battle system is great and each characters have their own awesome skills (Sheena ftw). The story wouldn't win a best RPG story price but it had some good parts and twists. Really this game shines with the awesome battle system, the attacks, unissons, characters abilities and the amount of things to do in the game. The new game plus is awesome too with the grade system. I loved it. The better fight you put out, the more greades you get and the more stuff you can choose when you start a new game plus.

As for the sequel, I'll buy it for sure. Wii is in need of some good RPGs and I really want to see the new world. Also, the stuff that happens with Lloyd just intrigues me.

And you still didn't answer my question.

So it's confirmed you confused your deficiencies for deficiencies in the game's story, great.

BTW, strawmen don't work on me, just an hint for you.

yay i'm happy now

I hope it gets released in Europe... it's not looking good for Tales of Innocence. Personally I really enjoyed ToS, sure the story had some cheesy moments but on the whole it was a fun game to play. Admittedly I haven't tried that many RPGs since, but ToS is my favorite and it's still one of my favorite games on GC/Wii. I'm a bit dissapointed at the changes in DNW though.
