Forums - Gaming - Why do people on this site still think E3 is important?

If you are an Nintendo fan then I can see why you wouldn't care lol I think they're exciting just look at Sonys last years E3 I think that was better than any game conference in history.

Because most Americans think that everything evolves around them and therefore e3 must be the biggest show on earth because it is in the states... It's not even open to the public, so I don't know why people cry as if they are going to be there oright something.

Someone didn't like Sony's conference at e3 last year...

My anticipation for this E3 is at an all-time low, that's for sure. Very telling that Nintendo isn't going to show NX when it is released 9 months after E3

Because Sony, EA, Microsoft, Bethesfa and other usually unveil something big there. Besides the E3 is not restricted to games only and especially not Nintendo only.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

E3 is a risk. Put on a big show but if it doesn't tick the boxes you risk getting hate for it. Look at Nintendo's last. They would have been better off just using the competition thing they had to show off a few games and not doing e3 in any form.

It's the main event for announcements. That's why it is important.

I'm sorry, is this a joke thread?
E3 is STILL the biggest even of the year. It gives games the most exposure. Honestly just because Nintendo isn't going to be at E3 sure as hell doesn't mean it's not important.
And the fact that they're even showing their biggest game Zelda on guess what? E3 actually shows you something.
You actually think that Nintendo having their own event at some venue that isn't E3 is going to give more exposure than if they did have an direct at E3? You'd be dead wrong.

"There is only one race, the pathetic begging race"

E3 isn't important? Who thinks that?

Yes it isn't as big as years gone by, but it's still the biggest and most important game show currently.

The only people who don't care about E3 are Nintendo fans. The surge in social media alone from E3 shows its much bigger than any other gaming event.
