Forums - Sony - Shawn from Nintendo Enthusiast got a PS4.

Did we do the right thing getting PS4 systems?

Yes, and welcome to Greatness. 225 78.67%

No, you will never be happy with Sony. 24 8.39%

Both of you betrayed Nintendo, shame on you. 37 12.94%

To each his own. I did the same in the PS3 era and I quickly came back in this era XD. I could pretty much become a MS or Sony fan in the future if I prefer to play their games. Why not everything? Because of the money.

Honestly with how 2016 looks software wise... can you blame the guy?

TBH the greatness seems to be seeping out of gaming in general, atleast for me. I look at recent and upcoming retail releases and I'm shocked by how little interests me. PS4 definitely has you covered for Indies, though. There are always plenty of cool looking games from small devs, but those can be really hit and miss.

Like a fool I have hoped (and predicted) for a company neutral hardware (OS) where you could play everything since "Sega does what Nintendon't". It nearly came true with PS2 becoming a de facto standard. Then came the Wii and X360 and disrupted Sonys dominance.
Now I would really like for the big three, for the sake of the future of console gaming, to sit down and make an open source OS and licence out to hardware companies.
This would, in my mind, put the focus on games and not hardware, and together Sony, MS & Nintendo could become strong against Steam and mobile.

Even though I am a big fan of Nintendo series like Mario, Pikmin, Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, ect... I have not limited myself to just them since the Snes days. I am a video game player foremost and alot of other series I like to play appear on Playstation and Xbox consoles such as Halo, Gears of War, Legend of Heroes, Ys, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Tales Of, ect... So I don't see the big deal with this myself but to each his own.

It's the same guy that rant at E3 2015 saying Wii U was not dead.
I laugh at him at that time, and I keep laughing even today.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Welcome to not being 12 years old and letting console politics (or your mom/dad) dictate your entertainment purchases?

If you are familiar with the Nintendo Enthusiast YouTube channel you know that Shawn is a huge Nintendo fan. The NE channel is one of my favorite sources for Nintendo news and information. This guy is in the same mindset I am in. I left Nintendo as my primary gaming ecosystem and have moved over to Sony. I still love Nintendo and will always own their systems and play their games, but as far as I'm concerned, Nintendo has completely lost it.

Just look at my avatar. It says everything about me at a glance. I'm a Nintendo refugee wandering around in the land of Sony. In this land there is Greatness. In my old land of Nintendo the greatness is gone.

Welcome to Greatness Shawn and know that you are not alone.

Yeah, due to region lock. I really hope Nintendo buries region codes once and for all with NX.

I could not agree more with that statement!

Region lock just makes no sense these days.

Found a way to remove the region lock from the 3ds there recently... was shocked as to how well the console was able to play all regions of games... then I was shocked at myself for thinking it was anything other than an artificial barrier to stop imports and nothing to do with hardware.

Vita's region free! random off topic point I know, but if moving from big N to big S then the handheld can accommodate Nintendo fans as well :D

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Multiple console owners exist? WHAT?!?!
