I don't think that Nintendo released a public statement like this if this wasn't true. I mean, you don't lie about one of your biggest 3rd party supporters XD. The final statement makes me believe that they adapted the content so they can release the game rated T in all regions. Providing this game is already very niche, I don't think it'll precisely harm the game to reach more user base.

So yes, Nintendo is to blame for the game being changed.

@outlawron. I don't see how the article confirms that Nintendo is handling the localization. It's obvious that the game is going to be launched in Nintendo territories, since it works in Nintendo consoles XD. The only sentence that said something conclusive is what I've quoted. No words on NIntendo overseeing the localization.

Wtf nintendo? seriously a tiny bit of cleavage and you have to cover the intire cheast of a woman, in dark smoke?

Would this have happended if the game was sold on playstation? I honestly dont think it would.

I can't see the vid since I'm on the phone, but whatever it is, if it's not gameplay altering, I don't think it's something to lose sleep over with. I don't know how harsh the ESRB rating or the CERO rating are, but if Atlus AND Nintendo (why are you only blaming Nintendo if they really are involved in the localization, it's a collab project with both sides overseeing it TOGETHER ...jeez) decided it had to fit within a certain part of the rating, then so be it. Plus, even in a collaboration, is it really necessary to point the finger at Nintendo all the damn time? I like these assumptions guys.

I remember reading an article on Smash Bros Wii U/3DS on how Sakurai really had to alter Palutena's skirt and Bayonetta's clothes from the Wicked Weaves in order to fit the age 10+ rating for CERO in Japan. So who knows how these ratings really work when being tested.
