Pay extra for your game not to be broken. Solid advice that.
Yeah... it sucks OP. I would simply not buy more games from that developer/publisher. |
Paying extra for the convenience of having an extra back-up automatically made for most games isn't some microtransaction that gives you more health. If you have problems with PS+, that's all fine and dandy, there are many reasons to have problems with PS+, but the convenience of cloud saves is not one of them. I won't even get into how wrong it is to immediately blame the developer for what could easily be a freak, unrepeatable event.
OT: I'm really sorry to hear that, OP. If you do have PS+, check your cloud saves for sure. I once lost my R&CF: ACiT file one level away from Platinum. I had to beat the game two more times because of that. Maybe that's subliminally part of the reason I'm not as big a fan of that game as others are...nah. I also had that problem when my power went out once while playing NFS: Pro Street on PS2. That one really stung. Out of spite I 100%ed the game over that weekend (even the bit I was trying to beat and couldn't on the old file, first try!) and never played it again. I'm sure we've all been there.
Hell, you could even try downloading a save, if that's still a thing that works. I don't think it is, but it might be worth a shot.
You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt! I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading. After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
