No date is 'wrong' to release but it's a weird time and is usually good to have a holiday release when people are saving up for Christmas

Nintendo already missed the year end holiday rush, they need it for the next most important date which is their fiscal year end.

March isn't the best time to launch ... dumping the Wii U and launching a proper next gen console in fall 2013 would have been a better time, but that bus left the station a long time ago.

I Am pretty sure Nintendo have some strong reasons why they missing holiday season launch, so from their point of view March is best time to release NX.

lol... that isn't why.

It's because its a mid generation system (if it ends up beeing a home console).

On that basis alone its already doomed. Wether it releases in 2016 or 2017 isn't going to change that. This thing, to be true, is either aimed at the casuals or will be a bigger bomb than the Wii U.
