I'm not really disappointed or angry because I held off in buying a Wii U when I heard how serious this NX really is.
I just hope Xenoblade Chronicles X is ported or can be played because NX is backward compatible.

I'm absolutely livid. I mean who was the jackass that thought another Sticker Star was a good ide-...
...We're talking about something else here, aren't we?
You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt! I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading. After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Don't say we. I got most of the things I want for the Wii U while everything for the 3DS.
The only thing im missing on the Wii U is Animal Crossing.
Edit: When you mentioned Nintendo you mentioned both the 3DS and Wii U.
When you mentioned Sony did you have the PSVita in mind? Did PSVita users got what they want?

| Soundwave said: Sure yes Nintendo is still capable of releasing some good 1st party games ... if they weren't they would have zero customers, but yes sometimes when you look at how hard a company like Sony is trying and doing things and marketing and push technology constantly and giving their fans what they want ... It's hard as a Nintendo fan to not feel like you're kinda in an abusive relationship like curl-6 kinda implied, lol. Really we're so beaten down as Nintendo fans that we are surprised/overjoyed when Nintendo bothers to market anything, we've been conditioned to accept hardware that is 5-6 years behind everyone else while paying almost the same price is ok, every second E3 being terrible is the norm, well now we're at maybe one good E3 conference every 3 years, long software droughts are ... normal, lack of new IPs is ... normal, no third party support ... normal. We wait months at a time for Nintendo Directs like starving dogs hoping for some table scraps to chew on. I mean imagine the freaking shit show that would erupt if Sony/MS basically said they were skipping on E3 after having a terrible E3 the year before and only bringing one game to the show basically which is being delayed for PS4.5 or XB2 ... lol, Sony/MS fans would riot but for Nintendo fans ... it's just another day being a Nintendo fan. |
So true.
Imagine if MS or Sony had a whole yearly lineup consisting of a HD remaster, (TPHD) an arcade port, (Pokken) a generally disliked reboot, (Starfox Zero) a niche JPRG, (#FE) a family sports game, (Mario & Sonic) a sequel to a hated spinoff, (Colour Splash) and nothing else? They'd be fucking crucified for offering their players so little. But with Nintendo people make excuses for them and talk about how great it is to have three games releasing in a two month period.
Imagine if MS pushed back Halo 5 to make it multiplat with Xbox Two.
Imagine if Sony showed nothing new of Uncharted 4 for a year and a half, then announced it was pushed back again to 2017 and would be their only game at E3.
Imagine if either PS4 or Xbox One went for three whole months without a major retail release.
Other fanbases wouldn't put up with such treatment, much less defend it.
Not really I was one of the many rational people who guessed it come out in 2017. I find it better that it probably won't suffer from massive droughts early on like the 3DS and Wii U did soon after launch. The last thing Nintendo needs is the second coming of the Wii U.

No. I have many more things to do in life. Games are just a part of it. If something gets delayed or doesn't go my way, I've got so much more to do. Would I have liked Zelda U as a Holiday title? Hell yeah. Am I angry because Nintendo is trying to make internally sound business decisions, no.
It's more exhausting too, as as Nintendo fan you almost always feel like you're "waiting" for something. Sure you get a nice game or two here and there, but most of the time, it's about waiting for the next thing to drop.
Nintendo's ridiculous secrecy I think really does not do them many favors. I mean just looking at it in hindsight, does something like Yoshi's Wooly World need to be so secretive as if some government secret on UFOs?
What's wrong with just throwing your fans a bone now and again and showing them some damn games? Keeping them in the loop?
Nintendo not only mis-markets their games, it's like they go above and beyond out of their way to keep their own fans from seeing their games, lol. It's really a bizarre corporate culture almost designed to suck all the fun/anticipation out of it.
The fact of the matter is it's not like Sony/MS are really copying anything Nintendo does anymore anyway, you can fucking relax Nintendo, Sony is not making Nathan Drake's Wooly World.
Would it kill you guys to be more pro-consumer in how you behave and communicate to your own fanbase? Nintendo just seems to be of the three the one that goes furthest out of the way to keep their own fans in the dark and things like yanking Youtube fan videos and all that ... it's just like c'mon Nintendo. It's a really petty way to run a global business.

Peasants? I wouldn't go that far.
As for what you said SOny is offering...
FF VIIR is looking to not be a SOny exclusive the way they talked about it.
Last Gaurdian... You mean the game that got delayed basically a whole gen and became the butt of a joke?
I'll give you UnCharted 4 though. It is a multi million selling franchise.
Shenmue III... you mean the game people had to fund and have Yu Suzuki say that might not even be enough?
I won't lie, Sony has done a lot of great things this gen but attributting all of that stuff to them is a bit hyperbolic.
Aah! I knew this was coming eversince the rumors went crazy and people started buying into them.
It was unrealistic to expect a 2016 release. Even if the hardware was ready, the software wouldnt.
I amannoyed Zelda Wii U got delayed though. I'm sure it would be done on time and its just getting delayed cause of the NX.
