| Soundwave said: Sure yes Nintendo is still capable of releasing some good 1st party games ... if they weren't they would have zero customers, but yes sometimes when you look at how hard a company like Sony is trying and doing things and marketing and push technology constantly and giving their fans what they want ... It's hard as a Nintendo fan to not feel like you're kinda in an abusive relationship like curl-6 kinda implied, lol. Really we're so beaten down as Nintendo fans that we are surprised/overjoyed when Nintendo bothers to market anything, we've been conditioned to accept hardware that is 5-6 years behind everyone else while paying almost the same price is ok, every second E3 being terrible is the norm, well now we're at maybe one good E3 conference every 3 years, long software droughts are ... normal, lack of new IPs is ... normal, no third party support ... normal. We wait months at a time for Nintendo Directs like starving dogs hoping for some table scraps to chew on. I mean imagine the freaking shit show that would erupt if Sony/MS basically said they were skipping on E3 after having a terrible E3 the year before and only bringing one game to the show basically which is being delayed for PS4.5 or XB2 ... lol, Sony/MS fans would riot but for Nintendo fans ... it's just another day being a Nintendo fan. |
So true.
Imagine if MS or Sony had a whole yearly lineup consisting of a HD remaster, (TPHD) an arcade port, (Pokken) a generally disliked reboot, (Starfox Zero) a niche JPRG, (#FE) a family sports game, (Mario & Sonic) a sequel to a hated spinoff, (Colour Splash) and nothing else? They'd be fucking crucified for offering their players so little. But with Nintendo people make excuses for them and talk about how great it is to have three games releasing in a two month period.
Imagine if MS pushed back Halo 5 to make it multiplat with Xbox Two.
Imagine if Sony showed nothing new of Uncharted 4 for a year and a half, then announced it was pushed back again to 2017 and would be their only game at E3.
Imagine if either PS4 or Xbox One went for three whole months without a major retail release.
Other fanbases wouldn't put up with such treatment, much less defend it.
