Better then E3 in my opinion.
Good!
They have time to talk about the last few games for the Wii U and maybe the 3DS before the NX.
Pocky Lover Boy!

They have to, if they are not showcasing the NX at E3..

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]
Since the NX is launching globally in March 2017, there are only 2 major North American events between now and then: CES and E3.
If Nintendo wants the NX to succeed, then will announce it at E3. Unless, of course, their goal is to sell less NX units than the Wii U.

If its not coming E3, then the event will be between sept to dec. My guess would be oct (end of the month) |
I'd have to guess it would be before November to get people to think about pre-ordering or saving for an NX instead of buying a PS4K or whatever Microsoft chooses to unveil for the holiday season. The launch lineup has to blow people away if they want to justify showing squat at E3 -- and it should, considering the NX is essentially stealing the last two years of the Wii U's 1st party software lineup along with what's currently being developed with the NX in mind.
October. I think 6 months will be appropriate for pre-orders/sales forcasting.
Nice to have a confirmation. Anyway, my bet is that this event will take place either in November or December. October at the earliest.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Please have it been sooner or later... The rumors are killing me softly daily.
