They have to find a way of appealing to FE virgins without alienating longtime fans; many longtime fans were already upset with Awakening...

But Fates came out after awakening and its doing better. They arent milking the franchise. Awakening and fates are 3 years apart. Next FE game might cpme in 2018 (japan) not including the mobile game

Third version isnt included for Sales. That said, the approach they did with FE Fates is actually really well played out. Only Con about it which people come up with is the game is split which honestly you get for $60. If your gonna complain about price FE is a well made up game that is worth that price imo anyway especially when its literally 2 games.

Its 2 games and a third that is just as long as a yhird game. We had this arguement b4 (and a whole thread was dedicated to it). Lets pls not go there.  :(

 

As for 3rd dlc counted as a game its obviously not since...

1. It doesnt have revelations in the title just birthright and conquest.

2. Excluding reason 1, nintendo never included revelations as a game with Birth+Con before

3. Most importantly look at the sales. More specifically at japan. Its at 780k. We have the game sold around what 560k in japan? If you were to include dlc in it from the special edition and dl from revelation and unsold copies wouldnt it far exceed 780k?

Wow. There used to be an age when this franchise struggled to get past 500k. Fire Emblem really exploded this gen, good for them!
