Damage control most likely, at least for the Wii U.

Here's an interesting thing anyone remember the rumour a while back that claimed that FFXV and another game will launch on NX in March 2017?

Don't remember that one but I remember one about Dragon Quest XI wanting to be released whilst it's on its 30th aniversary  which is between May 27th 2016-May 27th 2017  so Dragon Quest XI could likely be a NX launch title.

nintendo found a way to disappoint those betting on 2016 and those betting on 2017. looks like my thirst for tears is the only thing satisfied today. xD

Don't think people has an issue with him thinking so, more like how he completely denied any possibility of the NX coming in 2016. That was his problem. Heck, he even seemed to think the Wii U would get a proper full year and the NX wouldn't launch until holiday 2017.

LOLLLL are they being serious?? They pulled the same crap when the DS was announced and they said it wouldn't replace the Gameboy and instead would co-exist alongside it, labelling the DS as the 'third pillar'. Nintendo are notorious for dropping support for consoles a year prior to the launch of their newest console.

The problem is that there will be 65m or so playstaton 4 owners, and 25-30m Xbox One owners, able to play that game too.

Doesnt give them reason to go out and get a NX.

I doubt NX is aiming at the same crowd as those consoles.

I'm just glad they've officially announced the release date/year! Do you know how many countless threads we've saved from being posted?? xD

I've learned my lesson to never buy Nintendo products until years after launch and if they have good games aside from their predictable line ups.

Many, but not all. Now threads will be about which day/week it will launch, not the month >.<
